iPhone XS Esim question

I paying bills using Citibank M1 card and one of the benefit is free SIM card replacement. So I asked if I could use it as a waiver and they obliged saying they waive it off out of good will.

Can share how do you get a waiver for the esim fee?

Yah but I am wondering how I can find out which data plan was being utilised, primary or secondary? Or it will utilise the data plan from primary and use secondary data plan after the primary used up

Yes you can add more than 1 data plan. So can use 2 esim lines

Unfortunately, it also depends on who you talk to in customer service. Out of 5 enquirues made, only one cs told me it can be waived the others wanted me to pay 37+5, even their customer service cannot have a standard answer for the same question.
Some even quoted the M1 Citi card only covers lost sim replacement and not switching so no waiver.

Citibank M1 card is just one of the thing, as I believe they also see the type/tier of plan/s user has.

You can switch data usage between primary and secondary anytime

thanks for pointing that out, din’t realised that the top menu changed to include the toggling of the data plan usage.

Same here , finally got my Xs max ... but no ensim for Singtel yet despite M1 already launched almost 1 month ago

It’s really surprising that M1 has launched in early December and still no news from Singtel so far

Apple added M1 and other Telcos in other countries outside USA with ios 12.1.1, i believe will at least need to wait for ios 12.1.3 or more for addition of more telcos with esim support.

no one knows exactly the dynamics behind the telcos and apple. I can only predict when singtel does an official announcement during publicity, the sign up will be instantly available and not giving you a mere info of when eSim will be available. So sit back and relax and chill..

They have been using this standard reply for a long time... and this will continue to be their reply till it is launched eventually

I remember M1 launched theirs on 6th Dec so Singtel is at least 1 month slower... that’s our market leader and biggest telco for you

The disappointing thing is I read that almost all telcos in Thailand and Hong Kong are already e sim ready and we are still severely lagging behind. Singtel is talking crap as there are already so many telocs who are e sim ready both locally and all over the world

That said, cellular on Apple Watch is only available on Singtel.

Our telco market is fragmented when it comes to feature availability.
