M1 esim can be used on Multi SIM, additional conversion of $37++ and download of $5++ and of course multi sim monthly fee of $10++.

M1 testing esim on Apple Watch, stay tune

For me, having the esim functionality is one. Being able to have dual whatsapp, telegram and etc is another thing after that. Apple needs to up its game since they want to enter into the dual sim world. Android is way ahead in this aspect.

Different issues. Dual WhatsApp is OS restrictions. Dual Sim is more hardware.

Telegram can already have dual in iOS. Just use telegram and telegram X.

Dual WhatsApp can be done but one of the accounts cannot backup to iCloud and need to reload every 7 days.

installing 2nd whatsapp

since there are quite a few requests for instructions on how to install 2nd whatsapp (via PM), I figure I will post the instructions here instead.

Mods - if this is not allowed, please remove it and I will use PM instead. but please dont ban me :s13:

DISCLAIMER - I do not take any responsibility to what happens to your phone if you choose to follow the instructions below. I can only say that I have been doing this for a few months since I got the HK dual sim iphone XS Max. no issues encountered.

What you need;

1) laptop - can be MAC or windows.
2) an Apple ID that is does not have 2FA (two-factor authentication) enabled. if you do not have one such apple ID, create a new one. It does not have to be the one associated with your iphone.
3) your iphone n usb cable

I assume you already have one installation of whatapp (the official one) in your iphone already.

1) download cydia impactor (http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/) onto your laptop and install it. dont worry, this does not jailbreak your iphone.
2) download your favourite "mod" whatsapp ipa file onto your laptop. obviously you should not download the official whatsapp ipa file. For me, I use Watusi (http://fouadraheb.com/watusi/). the version i am using is com.fouadraheb.watusi_2.18.80_watusi_1.0.57. ( i think the latest one is already "100", instead of "80", in the file name above).
3) connect your iphone to your laptop using usb. do all the necessary "trust this computer" etc.
4) open cydia impactor. you should see your iphone's name appearing at the top of the window of cydia impactor.
5) now just drag the ipa file into the cydia impactor window.
6) you will be asked to enter your apple ID and password. use the one mentioned above
7) wait for installation to complete.
8) disconnect your iphone. you should see a second whataspp icon on your phone already.
9) open iphone--> settings --> general -> device management --> tap on the apple ID that you used to install the 2nd whatsapp --> verify this apple ID
10) DONE. you can now open the second installation of whatsapp, input your second number and verify this number (assuming you have the sim card for this number in another phone to receive the verifiation code). note that you cannot restore chat history

the apple ID you use will only remain verified for 7 days. every 7 days, you need to repeat steps 5 to 7 above. If you dont do this, that app will not work.

hope this helps the bros here.

Thanks but this seem too much of a hassle. Also security concerns for sideloading app.

Yes WhatsApp for Business is on android already.

For iOS the last I heard was in development but no news since October.

Is there such things ?
Actually WhatsApp can just launch a WhatsApp X like telegram then problem settled ...

That’s why currently Apple is one step back as dual SIM is still new to them. But I’m sure Apple will do something about it sooner or later.
