With whatsapp business app coming on...I think it’s time to make the switch to Esim now that iPhone able to support 2 whatsapp line in a single phone.

Can anyone show how to get waiver for the esim change? I need to do it for 2 sets(4 lines) into 2 phones... thanks in advance. ;)

Ok ok. But if I am going to HK. How do I get the eSIM to activate from the local telco? Any advice?

You can still add additional eSIM profiles in your phone. If I’m not mistaken, when you’re at HK for example, get the QR code from the telco there, scan and use. When you’re back in SG, you can select back to M1 eSIM profile.

In your contacts you can choose which line you want to use to call out by default. Also on the number pad, i remembered there's a drop down to choose which line to use for call out

Only M1 as of now.

I strongly suspect Singtel don't want to launch as this technology is rolling backwards. (It is an old technology and not popular)

Probably they want Apple to launch dual-sim (physical), in Singapore.

Just my guessing! If not.... what take them so long?

eSIM is the way forward. It is a new technology while physical SIM is backwards. They are just waiting to launch together with the new iPhone in September.

Hopefully the new iPhone version has duel SIM card... e-Sim is not really useful if the network doesn’t support..

Don't expect a dual physical SIM card iPhone to launch in Singapore. It will never happen. The chances of dual eSIM slots is higher than dual physical SIM slots.

Actually eSIM would be great on prepaid or travel use. Instead of changing the physical SIM, we can just get the esim profile, then delete or turn off it when we don’t need it.

Our main SIM will be a physical SIM card, which we can easily transfer on use on another phone should the current phone malfunction.
