So not used to having the iPhone lie face down instead of it screen up due to the protrusion of the rear cameras.

Ya, me too. The casing doesnt bump that much.

Need to wait for other case that have higher bump to protect the camera lens.

How is your experience so far when compared the iPhone 13 series cases to the iPhone 12 series cases?

Both are equally built. So far comparing to cases such as for 11 series and prior, the patina formed is more 'patchy' and mostly evident around the places where you hold especially the edges. This is mainly due to a new coating for the leather cases from 12 series onwards. The patina on 11 series and prior is nicer and have a gradual look which blends better.

Despite its differences, I'll still go for Apple's leather cases, love especially the inner velvet material and it's really well made overall.

Heard that Apple's leather case does not patina as nicely since iPhone 12 generation.

Both leather cases I’ve used for 12 Pro Max and current 13 Pro Max feels the same.

Scratch definitely not, but smell is the same, just like all new leather accessories from Apple.

Need to wait and see as per usage over time, the forming pattern of the patina.

That one around less than 2 months to get patina forming. 12 Pro Max‘s took over 2 months.
