Talking about this…do you all find the USB-type-C port of the iPhone 15 a bit weird/loose/have some play when the cable inserts?

Like the cable can easily insert into the phone & only tightens at the very last “point”?

It’s quite different from the feel of connecting the same cable to a MacBook for example.

I'm using a Baseus 100W PD USB C charging Cable, which has a slightly larger than normal USB C head ( referring to the red portion).

For my phone, due to the design of the phone case, and the width of the cable, I do get a very snug fit.

It is not loose in any way.

Thanks for the update. Order placed for the button version with promo code given from previously email when purchasing the cutout version. Still yet to receive the cutout version though it reached sg on 29 Sep.
Mine cant even use the promo code.

Really quite pissed off with Caudabe liao.
Take a week to reply.
Then end up still can give wrong code.
Now maybe need wait another week for them to respond.
Probably last time buying from their store

Do u happen to email them to change Color for the button version? If yes maybe they invalid your code and resent u a new code for the new Color u want.
Or u selected different Color from the cutout version that u order?

based on my experience, takes about three days (after it arrived in SG) to be delivered to your letterbox. i thought they need someone to sign. end up received notification it was delivered. -_-

We don’t usually monitor, it just so happen that whenever we took the phone off the MagSafe charger, it’s either in the range of 80% to 85%.

I mean, no one will go to the extreme of sitting beside the iPhone observing the charge status.

For charging, I use a smart plug that is home kit compatible, once the battery reaches a certain %, it will run shortcut and cut off power automatically. More useful 👍🏻

Don't have to be exactly 85%. 90 something percent is still okay.

The trick is not to keep charging your phone, when 100% is reached.
It somehow damages the battery cells.
I have my 12pro charged at 100% almost all the time and it rarely ever goes below 90% when unplugged. After 3 years, its at 87% battery capacity. Its not awesome but i expected worse due to the frequent charging.

I just realized that the Mazer Wireless Charging stand is the most cost effective solution in my hunt for a MagSafe Iphone Charger/holder for my car.

The Peak Car Mount, although it has a very good reputation, is really expensive.
The non-charging car mount is at least SGD 70++.
The Charging version is around SGD 120++.

The Mazer Wireless Charger has MagSafe, and it only costs around $75 on Shopee.
The charging base looks flat.
So all I have to do, is to stick a double-sided 3M tape, and connect the base to my car dashboard.

Voila! I suddenly have a Magsafe triple charger for my car.
I won't be using the charger for the Apple Watch or Airpods, but the functionality will always be there.
:s13:

Looking for recommendations on good MagSafe compatible iphone holders for my car, which are secure during driving.

I'm currently using a MagSafe Compatible Case with my Iphone.

Thanks.

I bought Mazer 3 in 1 MagSafe compatible wireless charging stand. So far tested on iPhone 15 pm, from 63% till 100% took about 2hr 15min (1415 till about 1630). Once connected to the MagSafe charger, iPhone screen shows the animation just like connecting to Apple MagSafe charger.

To me it is acceptable if I’m not in a hurry. Not sure what is the wattage during charging though I suspect it to be 7.5w. Understand Apple MagSafe charger able to charge at 15w.

My old Iphone X was around 80% after 4 years.

I also used to charge it to 100% and just leave it unattended.

However this time, with the IP15 PM, I will try out the new IOS17 option of only allowing a maximum of 80%.
I learnt that from one of those YouTube videos on how to properly charge your iphone battery.

It seems the longevity of your battery life based on charging type (wired/magsafe) is pretty uncertain and probably round down to the actually QC of the battery itself.

My 14PM currently at 90% batt health. Mainly 5W charging overnight, 30W in the office when need juice & occasionally using magsafe.

My wife's 14PM currently as 90% batt health as well. All the way 30W fast charging. Constantly charging while using, overnight charging all the way. Probably higher charge cycle than mine.

So, YMMV 🤣
Ya. I always charge whenever I can periodically, batt life still 100% :s22:

Are Torras singapore, china, US stores have own unique line up models? The Upro Ostand only china having Q3 series, there only singapore has Q2 orange. US don’t have either.
Taobao torras: 15pro暂时没有规划Q2活力橙的哈
Singapore lazada: https://s.lazada.sg/s.bzMS0

Any thoughts on sapphire screen protectors?
I know of Shellrus, Hoda, and iMos have sapphire screen protectors.

Understand that sapphire screen protectors are scratch-resistant (Mohs scale of 9, with diamond on Mohs scale of 10) but are brittle against drops. A trade-off between scratch resistance and drop/impact resistance.

I am currently using Mous Clarity 2.0 on my 15PM, so this should be good drop protection.
Thinking of getting a sapphire screen protector for scratch protection, since the Mous case has covered drop protection.

Or should I get the Mous hybrid glass screen protector (currently OOS at the Mous website) or the Mous tempered glass? I am getting Mous screen protectors as I do not want case incompatibility issues with the screen protectors.

Any thoughts?
