Spigen and ESR



what's weird is in the shopee listing, the picture has black borders, but on the product itself, it doesn't have.

Then the ESR one which doesn’t have black border still full coverage?

Do you both of you use MagSafe wireless charging?
I do with my Apple silicone case and noticed this issue happens fast, within weeks.

No I don’t use MagSafe charging. But I do use popsocket.

how's the original silicone case? does it attract dust/lint easily?

Will have lots of dust and lint if put in pockets. It was good in the era of iPhone 6 to XS. Gotten shitty in the last few years since 12. Silicone layer cracks and peels easy from fingernail against it (when taking off case or catching the phone hard during a fall).
silicone lip around the edges loosens easily, phone pops out off the case in jeans front pocket when sitting down and when dropped. Failed me twice with 12 and 15 pro, same issue - bottom corner came out of the case on impact and scuffed and dinged.
moving away from it even though it covers the sapphire crystal camera button. I deem the risk of the phone damaged from accidental drop at waist height more probable with it than the sapphire glass button scratching from non covered cases.

Both 15 and 16 are same for the 6.1.

Got black border so it cover the bezel too. None black border also cover the bezel but not as much as those black border one.

do smart devil screen protectors have the protruding edge at the top above the speaker grill? I chat with the seller on Lazada and they replied (in Chinese) that most of their products have that.

i actually didn't realise it.

i've been buying ESR for years and i don't really mind the black border.

it's only when i was trying to take a picture, i notice the box image is different from the shopee image listing

The full screen that most are talking about are with black border that covers even the bezel of the phone so there's zero gap between the screen protector and the case for dust to collect

I have doubts to whether they’ll release the camera control cover button version this year.
The action button last year was a much simpler engineering. In this case, they need to use sapphire crystal coupled with conductive layer to communicate finger movements to the camera control button.

Perhaps they’ll include that for iPhone 17 instead. That is if we don’t see a camera control-gate issue

Think most major brands should be able to engineer it soon. Spigen has already launched a camera button version with touch button functionality of their case.

If the other big brands don’t catch up, they will lose out.

i see. i personally would not prefer full coverage. having full coverage might mean that i'm restricted to casings because it might be too tight.
