Jialat, this year all the regulars fk up, I bought ugreen also 2 somemore.

Belkin ultra glass 2 so the top bottom both side corner can see some dust. Apple Store staff use a machine to paste it. It look good there but now I can see abit of dust

the downside of no black border is tiny dust and lint trapped along the glue at the edges of tempered glass can be seen. and it is quite obvious with the backlight dispersion at the edge of the tempered glass. I find it very disturbing and will attempt to pick at them trying to get them out. Sometimes ruined the glue and can see the “hole in the glue” too. For this reason I choose to have black border instead. But recent years UGreen black border cmi, last year on 15 pro it covers the camera 4 corners right angle white L. This year i bought UGreen and Zagg. UGreen the visible area inside the border is 0.5cm less from side to side and 1cm less from top to bottom vs. that of zagg.
No good case on hand so haven’t unboxed the phone, can’t tell the real extent of the black border covering screen.

Is the case hugging the phone tightly?

recall Apple cases can still see the phone edge band , it doesn’t really hug it very tightly thus may cause the phone to fall out when dropped.

anyone can help to confirm?

I encountered it before thus hesitant to go for Apple official cases now.

same here. Victim of the silicone case on 12 pro and 15 pro. Dropped from hand at waist height, one of the bottom corner popped off the cases and scuffed on both occasions.
Scared until I am now hesitant to unbox new phone to use it with Apple silicone case temporarily until better option comes along .

Cannot drop. It feels secure until it is dropped. Apple Silicone case user here from 6 to 15.
ever since the change to the boxy phone design of 12 Pro onwards the silicone lip became too little/thin to stay snug over the front of the phone. Observe the titanium edges along the sides from the front of the phone. Day 1 cannot see them. In a few weeks they will start to show. Once they show, do not drop the phone. One of the corners may pop off the case and get scuffed. Happened to my 15 pro at the beginning of Sep and the ugly scuff/chip in the titanium became the reason why I’m upgrading unnecessarily now.

Happily using the non black border TG. As far as i can see, the distance between the glass and the casing is like around 1mm or less. Good enough for me.

I highly recommend mobilelite tempered glass Swee Swee no border and cheap at less than 20 with application!

Ah same old problem, that’s my main concern, can’t prevent drops unfortunately just worried if it does happen and it pops, pretty much screwed.

Share one tip when pasting TG on your new iphone. Esp those TG with alignment tray. Do NOT remove the iphone white sticker first and have the display sitting out in the open without any TG to collect dust. Prepare your TG first. The moment you remove that iphone white sticker, slap in your TG tray. Should be swee swee no dust one since that white sticker should stick up any dust that the iphone surface have.

Fantastic tip. Need to buy the screen protector first!
