IPPT, IPT & RT Questions...

Hi guys. I did not attend my first IPPT last year and was charged $50 and had to book for IPT there and then. I did not attend IPT and was defaulted 20 RT sessions and I have to complete by 1 November 2012 which is not possible now. I haven't attend a single RT session. What will happen if I don't attend it at all? I know will be charged but how serious will it be considering I don't have any good reasons to provide? Will I be fined higher than $50 or could it possibly be DB? Please advise. I know I should have gone for the sessions but hope to start anew.

Most likely fined again. Better be careful the next time u become rt or ippt defaulter.

Bros, i have a problem. Wonder whether any experienced bros here could help.

My IPT window is from 21st Dec 2011 to 20th Sept 2012. Prior to 1st sept, i completed 7 sessions and left 3 more to complete the window. However, i was down with chicken pox from 3rd sept - 17th sept. I went to FCC and was graciously given a 1 mth extension. However, on 24th Sept, my left ankle got swelled badly, till the extend that i couldnt walk. The swelled die down for 2 days, got a relapse and it swelled again. I went to the orthopaedic to get it xrayed and such, and found out that i have an extra bone growth in my left ankle. The extra bone was hitting my veins, thus causing my ankle to swell. The entire ordeal took around 3 weeks, and even though it has subside, i still couldnt apply pressure on my left ankle and couldnt walk properly (still limping). The orthopaedic excused me IPPT for 2 mths till 10 dec.

I called Mindef Call centre just now, and said that as long as the MC doesnt excuse IPPT for 4 mths, mine would be an appeal case, and if need be, would still subject to disciplinary action, and i had to write an appeal to my unit and fwd my MC to them, and now im at their mercy for something that i didnt planned at all.

Haiz, so disappointed with this whole IPT, IPPT thing, no wonder so many pple try to siam this IPPT. Haiz...

don't worry la... genuine case will not have any problems one...

too many ppl spoil the market and try to siam IPPT so now those genuine cases will have to suffer as well...

Hi there I have defaulted ippt and I am jus wondering when will the letter of SAF 246 come? I can book rt now, so should I start booking or should I wait till I go down cmpb then book? Normally how long will it take for the letter to come?

i've got a colleague who defaulted ippt, defaulted rt and got charged.
went down and his explanantion was that he is busy with work, school and marriage.

and he got away free. no need to rt, no need to pay fine. and no db.

Should be within a month or 2. I would suggest u to book your rt 1st since u only have limited time to complete it. And if the officer see that u have already book and is doing your rt, the chance of u avoiding the fine is higher.

6.30pm max is what I saw lah, 6.45pm the window at the counter like close liao~

7pm don't need to go liao, sure cannot inpro.

At 6.30pm, u will probably have to beg them to let u have the pink tag and not even guaranteed they will give it to u.

6.20pm is the latest.

B'day on 15th January.

I defaulted my first IPPT so I got $50 fine.

Then it became RT which I also defaulted and got $100 fine and also got to do RT.

My window closes 14th Oct 2012 which is tomorrow and having only completed 5 IPT sessions since I was insanely busy with school with all my mid years both before and after recess week, I decided to just go ahead and book over the phone an IPPT session on the 13th which is today.

The woman told me over the phone that the 4:30 slots are taken up so is the 7:30 slots ok?

I told her ok and that was it. Turned up at Bedok camp just now extra early to get ready for it. Reached there at 6:45 pm only to realize the stadium lights all turned off and people leaving and packing up.

I was like omg gg, don't tell me 7:30 means 7:30 am and not 7:30 pm.

I used my phone to check online and true enough, its booked 7:30am and not 7:30pm. I got the timing mixed up.

Honest mistake here but I think I'm gonna get charged for the 3rd time for sure and I called up the NS hotline and the helpdesk lady said that to me.

So I wrote in an appeal letter to contact @NS.sg and they say its gonna take 14 working days.

What do you guys think? Should I also call up my unit on Monday to explain and appeal?

he just started woh, you think so easy to go db meh? i kena charged and fine so many times until last fine $300 then they give final warning next round will smell db... got official letter sent to CO some more, need to sign name on it one

+1 to it no matter u pass or fail. And u will need to sign up 1st for ipt before u get band 2.

Don't understand why u say u won't join rt especially if u didn't pass or complete your ipt with ppt met.

hi bro... im in ipt now... but dun think can complete it. after 24/10, im thinking of taking ippt till i passed. sorry noob here... 1st time kana this ****...

U can't book ippt after your window is closed. U can only take ippt during rt or if u have any ict.
