no la the revamp has got nothing to do with marathon or wat.

IPT must be done within 9 mths of your window. You can chose do spread out the lessons at anytime you want, i.e 1 lesson per month. but you gotta show improvement. dun have, means extra 5 more lessons.

last 3 mths of window is for RT.

Not too sure about the marathon thingy, but it was asked in the survey in which I personally did last week.
if the IPT program is revamped in that manner, likely will not help things at all
as so many bros have mentioned, we can "rigged" our own scores by limiting our performance during early phase and chut power in the end.
if the recording becomes stringent, i think most people will revert to doing RT provided RT still exist that time. (just think new revamp IPT is 9 + 5 = 14 sessions, RT is 20 - 5 (minus the no. of times you can miss) = 15 sessions) actually there's only a difference of one session.

can conclude its another epic fail idea from some idiot SAF scholar

I went for the Toa Payoh SAFRA E1 PEP program. Damage : 200 + 14(GST). Supposed to have 3 person but only I turn up so become 1 on 1 training with the trainer.

Warmup : brisk walk on treadmill for 10 mins. Stretching

Training are all on gym machines(except crutches). It is like having personal trainer. The trainer is not PTI but the people working in the gym.

Plus point : 7 lessons, able to Makeup 2 but no trainer during makeup, just train yourself. If you want to do on same day but not at the timing also can but no trainer , not counted as makeup, counted as attended.
: Jaccuzzi in the changing room, steam bath, free towel use.
: Aircon and music
: unlimited usage of the gym for the month.

Minus point : cost.
: you are actually training as opposed to wayang in IPT :p

No push up etc. All gym stations except crutches for abs. The trainer say his role is to teach proper technique on use of the gym stations like how to breath, posture etc.

7 training + 1 IPPT, the IPPT is separate from the session. You have the choice of booking at any of the FCC or SAFRA.

hmmz..... I 'm rather interested leh, does it have the "before 3 months your window closes" restriction like IPT? how to book, like find all over the ns.sg not much info on it.
Think I rather pay a bit to use the gym rather than waste my bloody time on stupid RT which is neither useful nor productive.

Same as where you book your IPPT...go to book SAFRA E1 PEP

Q3. Can I book the E1 PEP schedule at any time of my IPPT window?

Ans: No, you can only book for E1 PEP schedule that ends within 9 months after your birthday (unless you just completed your RT). This would enable NSmen who are unable to pass their IPPT at the end of E1 PEP to continue their own training, and apply the training methodology to improve their performance and thus maximise the knowledge gained during E1 PEP.

To be honest, if you are really keen on exercising, IPT is good enough. Put in the effort, and you will surely benefit.

It's not just about keen on exercising vasilli bro, IPT like very siong for a start. I almost two years orange/green tag regular liao. I don't mind doing gym workout seriously but to do runs, let alone interval/intensive training is a no no. Don't want to vertically go in, horizontally come out. Btw, I did red tag and yellow tag before in RT before, there is a noticeable difference

ok ok my bad. Red tag (phase 1)/white tag (phase 2) are the group that only fail running. They got the most potential to pass during RT program. their training is focus mainly on running (what else) lots of track and interval trainings. the yellow/blue tag are grouped for their weak areas in static stations. their training very diverse one, largely are people who flunk SBJ or chin up. And then the orange and green tag (the people who need to lose weigh/BMI more than 27) do stuff like long but light jogs and basically anything to sweat a lot. Purpose of coz is to lose weight.

I think the tag makes it easier for them to identify who belongs where. Not like they need it really. anyway we can ask for the tag color ourselves.its actually a bother, the number tag keep flapping at my butt during runs. Or worst some of the strap is so short, it doesn't fit on the bigger size people. End up have to roll it and carry around like some baton.

Hi all, have a few questions here to clarify.

1] I have just orded last year and if it is my 1st time taking my ippt this year, do i need to do RT first before i can book IPT, considering that i failed my ippt?

2] If the answer to the 1st question is YES, do i need to do RT before i can book IPT again the following year if i fail my ippt? or i can straight away book IPT without having to do RT?

Thanks in advance.

1) I don't you need to do your RT for the IPPT you failed during NS. Or did you fail the IPPT(non-NS) last year?

2) No. After you completed IPT, no RT.
