IPPT, IPT & RT Questions...

Hi

I am new to this .. Just ORD .. My window is Feb 14 2012 and i took a IPPT on May .. failed ..

1) So will they take my previous result or will i have to book a IPT to determine my band ?

2) If i have to take a IPT test to determine my band, then can i safety said that i just fail the first IPT test, get the lowest then book a IPPT date and achieve the band straight away. Does this make sense ?

My window will be closed 9 months after my birthday which is Nov i guess. So i have to squeeze all my 10 IPT from now to Oct right ?

1) I believe if u just ord, your cat test will be used to determine your band. Check with PTI for confirmation.

2) Yes.

3) Yes. To confirm when your ipt window ends, check ns.sg.

if I just ORD in June, birthday is in April, do I need to clear ippt?

From what I have gathered from my other mates(including a PC) is that it is optional for those who want to get the money incentives. even if take and fail, no need do ipt or rt

But the NS portal said my window is opened

Yes, it's optional but still suggest u to call ns.sg to double confirm.

but got TARGET BMI of 26 (but my BMI is 24+ liao)

hi bro , need to wait de ba. the target band doesnt show up immediately in website de. Govt do tink leh, dun expect too much. collect $$$ maybe fast, anything else muz wait lor.

u can call the NS hotline, they got the record after u do the 1st IPT (ie CAT test).

Thanks for the reply but I am quite noob. I still can't find the IPT table that states the requirements that needs to be met in order to acheive the PPT targets.

The only relevant tink I can find is this:NSmen Website - Individual Physical Proficiency Test Preparatory Training (IPT)

They don't show the PPT table meh? Can juz paste here anot? Paiseh paiseh. Thanks.

@wgti211, I believe u only need to take your ippt after your window is open on 23rd Oct. For now, it's optional. Would suggest u call ns.sg to double confirm.

2). I need to pass my RT by end of Jan 2013. My last ICT is in Feb 2013. I intend to skip RT. Will I still get charged? Anyone experience before?

1) should be 31st march
2) may still get charged but maybe no punishment if u get the mr cert when u go answer charge.

Basically I got a reservist call-up and i managed to successfully defer due to studies but within the 2 weeks, I got a 5 days break that I wish to travel overseas.
Is it allowed? and do I need to obtain permission to go?

I have called ns.sg but however, I am talking to an NSF on the phone, so I do not know how reliable it is.

He told me that you should wait for the letter or sms that you are eligible for ippt/ipt/rt, he said there are instances where the person never take ippt for 4-5 years and sometimes never called up for ICT, how true is that? Really think I should ask a regular, but he might not know the NSmen requirements, or a NSmen PTI at least.
