No. IPT 1st session is still a must to prove u joining IPT. You will not be given a ppt(even though it's +1) if you don't join IPT 1st.

Hey fellow Nsmen, just have a quick question and i apologize in advance if this has been covered before.
Im currently in my RT phase wherein my window closes in mid-Feb. I recently sustained an injury(biking accident) and was given a 3-month medical excuse. Im unlikely to be able to complete my RT sessions.

Just wondering am i still liable to be charged as an RT defaulter in this instance? Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi guys, i dunno if somebody is in the same situation as me.
My 9months window closes end of this year. Suay2 October i injured my knee then i got appointment to meet the specialist yesterday. He suspected ACL and kena go for MRI. Wrote me a letter of excuse for 6months. I went to ehealth and book med review earliest date is MARCH 2012 can u believe that? So my qtn is has anybody encounter this before? becoz the ns.sg fella say i will be a defaulter even if thats the cse but will i get charged? how can, ive not done anything wrong,jialat la this system. The MO booking so far away but i dunno what 4months system they have. If suay kena towards end window not my fault wat, didnt ask my leg to give way..sian thanks!

Try to contact your unit. If they can't help, just bring your letter of excuse if you are charged. You should be ok.

ya i shuld be ok becoz i do no wrong but the tot of getting charge because of a kok up system pisses me off. its nt like i can plan when my injury comes or when i meet the MO, i called my unit they say confirm defaulter but cant waive my charge because my closing date near and must have excuse 4months in my window, like wattt? mean i wana get injured, get injured in august..lol last option talk to their officer on friday coz im on holding list,not assigned unit also..if really cannot my last option meet my MP and complain of their screw up system.

IPPT defaulter means u did not even take a single IPPT session during your 9-month window. U at least need to take one to avoid being charged.

2 questions i hope to someone can clarify:

1) I have ICT in Jan'13, if my ict-ippt result is worse than my results today and lower than band 2 standard, will my non-ict ippt results today which enabled me to clear band 2 still stand?

2) this window i clear band 2, but next window i will go down 1 CAT level.
like that how ar, my ippt results today will push me to ppt band 4 (skipping band 3) if i go down a CAT next window.
Or will i restart from band 0 again if go down a CAT next window.

It's always a +1 no matter what your result is.

I doubt so since they want you to pass your IPPT. And with u changing your cat, your ippt score standard also get lower.

RT is only 1 month.

if i'm on my 5th ipt session, and i don't wish to continue the training, can i just go book IPPT and clear band 1 to clear my ipt?

If you have just taken it, wait at least 2-3 working days or at times a week. Call ns.sg if still not updated.
