IPPT, IPT & RT Questions...

Hi bros, need help here. My ippt window closes on the 12 of March, and I have not taken my ippt. This is my 1st cycle of ippt Im taking and I dont think I will be able to pass it. I have booked ipt on 6 of March and will try to aim for band1 and have booked ippt together on 9 of March to aim for the band1 to clear the window for this year.

Is this method possible to clear the window for this year? If its possible to clear, do I need to wait for the band result for ipt to release before I go for the ippt to aim for the band1? - as Im afraid the system will not update the band result before I take my ippt on 9 of March and the ippt result do not take the band1 result as target.
Really cant afford to go for the 20 RTs as exams are coming up. Regreting not taking the 10 session of ipt beforehand.. Need help.. Thanks!

bro, same situation as i was in. i booked my first ipt-ippt on 27th feb, got my band 3 status on 1st march morning. then 2nd march i went to take my ippt and i cleared my band 3. i need to pass my ippt before 5th march. thank goodness i managed to pass my band 3 2.4km timing. now i am cleared for my window.

anyway, if u passed ur ippt last year through the normal route, its impossible for u to get band 1, i did badly for my ipt-ippt (5 pts) and they minus 1 grade down (band 3) for me cause i passed ippt last year.

btw guys, if i clear my ppt target, will i be entitled monetary award? i quite blur cause when i call ns hotline they say got money take if i pass my ppt band. then i ask the fitness trainer they say no money.

As IPT is on a voluntary basis, NSmen are not obligated to complete the IPT programme. However, if they are unable to pass their IPPT at the end of their 9 month window, they will be regarded as IPPT failure and will have to attend 20 RT sessions during the last 3 months of their IPPT window.

IPT 1st and last session got pay. If u complete IPT without meeting your PPT, u go for 8 RT sessions. If u default or didn't complete 10 sessions, then u go for 20 RT sessions.

Stupid sia. They forcing people to take ipt give the tight schedule of 20 sessions within 12 weeks for RT.

They should make IPT more tempting that RT. less 2 session and sacrifice 10session of pay is not convincing

RT-IPPT should be at 6pm. U may want to call and check. They have briefing and 'standards' for different groups, that's probably why got 3 timings.

Quick update for everyone...

Ever since that NSmen who kena cardiac arrest and got admitted into intensive care unit, the style of IPPT has once again been reset to how it was conducted few years ago again. Everyone is on their toes again.. More safety conducting officers around... New signboards to remind you not to take IPPT if you had MC in the past 4 days...

Now in Maju camp,

IPPT groups go in waves of 40 ppl, 10 ppl in one detail. (Means time wasted to in-pro)

Before IPPT begins, briefing (15mins) and warm up excercises (10 mins) are conducted. (Time wasted to wait for the previous wave of detail to complete the 4 static stations)

Each detail will have an IC which will bring u to the stations and move on to the next station only after the entire detail has completed. (This means you cannot choose the sequence of static station you want to do. I personally prefer to do pull-ups>>shuttle run>> SBJ >> sit ups) Doing pull-ups last is a pain for me >.<

Lastly the 2.4km run remains the same...


A usual 30 mins IPPT session has turned into a 90-120mins session. Some Bros doing their last RT-IPPT/IPT_IPPT mass kpkb lol... o well..

I don't understand why need details. Warm-up and cool down ok but details again?

Some people just going through the motion, do 1 sit-up then some go for 5 points. Sure sianz to wait.

Didn't know got changes, it's my first time taking IPT-IPPT yesterday, khatib camp. Was wondering why it takes more than 2 hrs to complete when I read here is very fast.
actually kinda stupid, do warm up, go waiting area sit, wait for my details turn. by the time already cool down.

my ns portal state that my target band is 1 and i'm cat X
so when i take the ipt-ippt tmr.. and i achieve the benchmark for Cat X band 1, will my paper state pass or fail?
