:s22: but you can't share the bin.

Oh... Lucky the bin is tough and seem like dont need to be replaced unless a giant steps on it! The thing i need fr this unit:

1. The side brush (mine is du bi dao now - single arm swordsman)
2. The battery (is it totally new battery for remanufactured set?... can anyone tell me)
3. The brushes
4. The charger, walls, scheduler, wheels, and everything in the box!

Hahaha... Now i know how to dismantle my roomba (will post the before and after pic when i reach home to scare you), it is easy and much more fun. :D

One thing surprise me: the 4xx series roombas now on sale at irobot look like this model than my 4210! So this might be newer set. : )

Actually, the biggest problem with the bin is the vacuum impeller. U have to clean and lubricate it once it gets noisy. If u leave things as it is and when the impeller seized, it'll be time for a new one. :o

As for the battery, its a chance u r taking with remanufactured sets. Got to keep fingers crossed.

Thks. I thought there is only a small motor in the bin which turns a turbine like thing. I always open up my Discovery bin and clean it after i empty the dust.

I doubt iRobot will give an old battery for even a remanufactured set. But, can't tell really unless i run it a few times to the max and record the timing.

I took apart the bin before and gave it a through cleaning...there was once where my wife happily sent my Roomba for a mission without filter attached! I just washed it and was drying it...the bin end up choked and very very noisy...good thing I took it apart and cleared it asap as the choke causing the heat built up internally as impaler not turning....

I'm quite worry that the bin fan motor will be gone easily. it's not easy to dismantle it for cleaning and it's not really part of the maintenance procedures....
