Btw, no need to buy blue clorox, too expensive. I don't find any diff, just use any cleaning detergent you like. Just put a little to prevent, in case scooba spray foams.

Yes, from the email, to chat and to calling them up, THEY said No, they do NOT accept international CC.

When u asked regarding paypal using international CC, they also said No. u shouldnt be able to use it. We only accept US bank issued cards

Modified roomba charger

Hi all

Sorry can I just check if any kind souls can help me,I just got a roomba from USA. Where can I buy modify charger for the roomba & how much is it? I think my charger died cos I plug it in using a travel adapter instead.

I got my Rooma from the States. The side brush stopped working during the 2nd or 3rd time I used it. I've replaced the entire side brush unit but it is still not working.

Does anyone know anyone who can repair this besides the local agent?

Local agent charged $200 just for diagnostic excluding any charges for any findings later.

It seems that a transistor on the pcb is not working if you said that the whole brush unit is replaced.

Yes. I have replaced the complete assembly incl motor. This is what I got - Replacement side brush motor module for iRobot Roomba 500 series. Includes single replacement brush.

It is still not working.

And yes, the local agent is severely overcharging everyone in order to discourage importing from USA. So, I refuse to go there. IMHO, buying a new one from USA is probably cheaper than getting them to repair.

And buying 2 units from USA just to cater for 50% failure is cheaper than buying 1 unit from them.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if there is another avenue for repairs before I consider getting a new one from States again.

Any info would be much appreciated.

roomba is sweep/vacuum
scooba is the mopping 1.

big qn, for those of u having scooba 380, does it arrived with a packaging box? Mine from US dont have that. only placed in a sterofoam and then packed in a brown shipping box

is it ok to use a 150W transformer and charge for 16hrs first time right? Do u have any empty slot in the sterofoam. I have one which i thought might be for a blower.

dun haf a 380 so cannot answer ur question.
but.. tat time my 340 come with a colourful box inside then is a sterofoam box. and does not haf any blower

150W is ok la.
i using 150W with a spliter for a roomba + a scooba

Scooba 380 does comes with a primer pump. It should comes with the original box if it is really new. If it is bought from IRobot or it's authorised dealers, it is usually pack within another brown box that has IRobot and the model imprinted on it. Scooba 380 should be printed as #6050 on the brown box.

Who do you buy it from? If it's ebay then that might explain. The chatroom lady you spoke to that tells you the JEN & PRR thing is from IRobot?
