Hi guys

First timer here, I ordered the Scooba 385 from woot ytd, haven shipped yet though

Some questions

Where can buy decent step down voltage coverter? I can modify the adapter myself actually, but will prefer not to.

And.. any difference between the Scooba clorox and the clorox solutions sold locally?

Thanks.

U need not jump into buying Voltage Convertor yet, cos Scooba 385 is Europe version, so the charger is probably just like the one provided by local agent.
When it arrives, check charger spec.

Isn't Scooba Clorox ancient history? :s22:
Scooba is currently sold with Enzyme solution (4 satchets = 4 full clean), a close matching enzyme solution is this: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=56662651&postcount=8149
DO NOT use locally sold Clorox cos it's toilet bleach.

IF u need a step down transformer, u can find them for a good deal at shops in Sim Lim Tower. Newstar and Super are some of the recommended brands. If u only need do a step down voltage for just the Scooba 385, an 80W to 120W should be sufficient.

U do not have to stick to Scooba Clorox solution, there are other floor cleaners available locally which does the job @ a fraction of the price. Try to stick to pH neutral floor cleaners or u can simply use water on its own.

STAY AWAY from Magiclean!!!! Your Scooba will thank u for that.

I believe there are users here who have used Kiwi Kleen w/o any issues, though u may want to verify with them. I've been using Sunshine D28 ph balanced granite and marble floor cleaner for years. A small bottle is enough to last u 1 year. U should be able to find it at Homefix.

any commercial cleaning solutions...
kiwi kleen, kao magiclean ok?

I use D28 for marble, Kiwi Kleen milky blue superactive 3L for tiles & parquet. I used Magiclean apple long ago but felt it was too slippery for Scooba.
I bought the Envizyme, but hardly use, not say no good, just using my Kiwi Kleen first.

Don't buy Kiwi Kleen OXY force, Mr Muscle, Easy Off Bang. I believe they're too caustic.
Ajax Fabuloso gave one of my customer pump clot problem, so either use very dilute, or avoid. Dettol leaves white permanent stains, but functionally ok.

You will get a worldwide charger for this model but you will need an adaptor as it comes with a US 2 pin plug.

It was posted at Roomba review....

Samsung Navibot S, a self-emptying bot!

If its navigation really works, this will be the ultimate robotic cleaner with the ability to empty its own bin and cleans the brush on its own. Perfect for the lazy bum! :s13:
