This dolly clothes for Roomba is precisely the one Jubooo is referring to that'll cause Roomba to overheat.
In fact, I'm not even so sure if this company still exist cos they were for Roomba 400 series.

Roomba 500 series WILL get hot around the keypad area after ~1+ hr operation, that's cos the motherboard is right below. The battery gets hot too due to chemical reaction to release electrical energy.
So putting clothing or anything that prevents ventilation is a bad idea.

Laptop skin is fine since it's super thin. Googly eyes is fine since it's super small ~50 cts coin size.:s22:

It's a clone 400 series. The video they show is another model KV8 and not the actual one they sell. :s22:

My Genie = KV8 = M-288

External shell can look different, but the bottom brush design, tiny bin & wedge shape filter cannot run...
Oh, and the Small/Medium/Large button, that is soooo primitive.

It's worse than Roomba 400 series clone, it's Roomba Original series clone, or should I say OEM.
http://www.lazyhousekeeper.com/roomba-original-robot.html

After all, iRobot's original series was taken from some OEM manufacturer, put their logo, and marketed.
It was only Roomba 400 series where iRobot started coming up with their own patented design.

2003-2004: It was fixed caster front wheel with black CHM.
2005: More buttons like Spot & Max, but still fixed caster front wheel.
2006: Swivel caster front wheel, yellow CHM. Improved brush design & bearing design. Earlier bearings did not have thru hole, so dust that enters get stuck there. Revised design allows dust to exit the thru hole.
2007: First emergence of Roomba 510, the rest is history...

iRobot Scooba is a floor washing robot, only clean water is used at all times and floor becomes 98% germ-free.

It's been 5 yrs since Scooba was launched, "other brands" have not came up with anything to compete with Scooba.
They're simply not capable of designing & manufacturing given the extensive R&D required.

The closest "Other brands" wet robot are those that use moist micro-fibre cloth.
I have written about this is 2nd & 3rd last para here: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=57889311&postcount=8337

I've been selling iRobot products full-time on eBay since Aug 2008.
For local ready for delivery items & local round the clock tech support from me, pls visit my eBay iRobot store: http://shop.ebay.com.sg/uno_bliss/m.html

I've sent u a PM, pls check PM inbox. Queries pls email me unobliss@yahoo.com:s8:

Irobot is established and easy to get parts. Roomba last long and cleans ok. Scooba doesnt last as long as roomba but if you replace the wear/tear parts, it should keep on going. Best is get both! Good deal for scooba is gone with woot. I think have to wait like 1 year to get a good scooba deal. Try Roomba in meantime, no regrets.

Btw the the auto-clean navi bot begs for a question. Who cleans the auto-bin in the end? Human or Bot? :s13:

How long had you been using that neato? I wanna prove someone's theory that all should be good after 6 months is wrong.

I have all parts, let me know if you still need it by then and I believe chances are you will.

'Far water cannot save near fire' bro!!! Unless i can get the spares from u now....

I'll try to fix the issue on my own first. If not, i'll have to send it back to Neato for a brand new replacement.
