leave the scooba on even after full charge. The batteries are not 100% charged yet. A trickle charge will continue over time to fully balance and charge the cells each time. You should see longer run times after that.

3rd run just finished. 42 minutes and 42 seconds. As I am not in the same room, I hear a pretty long melody first. When I went out to see, I saw only a red light. Does this melody signifies the need of a full cleaning cycle?

1st roomba.. i pay liao.. they say i haven pay..
need call them and email them a few times den everything is ok..
2nd roomba..
when i wan to pay, i check online,.. it shows i had paid...
call them and they say they mix up my 2 items.. they wan to update my 1st item but updated my 2nd item..
lol..

well, that shows 2 major problems, although pretty common for small companies:
1.badly trained operator/customer service, tons of data error or misuse of systems
2.poorly organized or absolutely no change management......

The no battery alarm is pretty irritating one, right?

I was inside another room, but I heard a long melodious tune. When I checked the clean water tank, it was fairly empty. When your cleaning cycle is complete, what is the colour of your indicator light?

I am reading the manual now. It states that the scooba will enter a brief internal drying mode of the end of the cleaning cycle. The indicator lights will blink. Is it accompanied with a melody of any sorts?

The long tone should be associated with check tank warning. So, power light should be green and check tank lighted up, which means either clean tank is empty and/or dirty tank is full.

I only saw the red indicator light when I went out. When I tried to power on again, it couldn't do so. Could it be possible that my Scooba happen to run out of battery immediately after completing a cleaning cycle?

Tink i have to follow my Scooba tomorrow from the 40th minute onwards.

i just got my remanufactured scooba shipped from amazon. Mine's a 5900 recon, so i need to use some juice with it, but supplied chlorox is expensive and i won't buy extra. I heard that ppl have success with kiwi kleen and ajax, anyone can help advise how much of these to fill in the measuring cup?

btw, amazon is selleing 5800 at $199.99 w free shipping. no need any discount code, etc. for those considering, it's a gd buy. :) Apart fr the 25% with LNT + free shipping.

Sorry, my shipment is already on the way here to Singapore. You can try to get it from iRobot while they are still having free shipping and then send it to forwarder like VPost or Comgateway.

No worries then :)

Or I may just resort to concocting my own cleaning solution

For the rest of the non-chlorox solutions, u do not need as much for each cleaning cycle. I've been using MagicClean for months. All thats required is 1 - 2 TEASPOON for each cycle. I've made an additional marking on the supplied measuring cup for easy referencing.

I am waiting for my scoobas to arrive at CGW - just wondering if a scooba would do or do I need a roomba too? I understand Scooba does do a bit of vacuuming right? Thanks!

a little bit of vacuuming. It should be fine if yr floor is not too dirty or if u run it regularly so doesn't get dirty much. U can always get a roomba later if u feel u need heavy duty vacuuming.
