It means your roomba is efficient, value for money! I mop the floor everyday, and yet the tribolite that I've received for only 2 weeks, is almost full already. Now I worry about the cost of changing the filter, makes me want to switch to a roomba instead.
BTW,mosmos, thanks for ur tip, I got my 10 percent from IRobot, but they're taking a long time, took them 2 days to ship from warehouse, and I've been waiting for the last 9 days since, still no news from vpost.

the tribolite has a non-permanent filter? :s11:

i guess for domestic shipping is very slow, usually take 5-7 working days to reach vpostusa address. :s22:

shipping a 5800 fr LNT via CGW, still somewhere in US, cos USPS taking their own sweet time. will let you know the cost when I get it. :)

Btw, anyone does the local distri sell accessories like filter, brushes, etc for the 5xx series? Anyone see it selling at courts? Also thinking to get the Wireless cmd center ... but maybe have to ship fr US ... :(

hi, bakasa 2002.

Call Halley Express at 62520488 to trace your shipment. Halley Express is the local forwarding company doing all arrangements for CGW from USA to Singapore

The information posted on CGW transactions pages is severely outdated. After I received my parcel, the pages still reflected my order as pending shipment to SG

The roomba is the lowest end one. Scooba is the highest end. So if yr primary need is sweeping or vacuuming, you should consider another roomba model for its features. Eg. This 400 model takes 7hr to charge vs 3h for others plus less accessories. Cleaning function wise it is pretty much the same so consider yr requirements.

mosmos,
all the electrolux vacuum uses the hepa filter, which has to be replaced every so often. For Trilobite, the manual states that the filter has to be replaced every time the bin is emptied, so it is $$$ down the drain every time , sob sob...
The reason why I picked trilly over roomby is because my son is very allergic, so the hepa system seems the right choice. It does deliver, picks up every bit of dust.My main complain is that it moves like an old grandfather, n only goes to work for less than one hour before it has to go back for recharge , which takes up another 2 hrs.Now we have five storeys in the house, so am thinking of getting the roomba 5x to help out.Have already ordered the scooba, which comes with a red roomba. How does the red one compare to 570 in terms of surface area covered at one go?

hi.. i am a newbie to this robot cleaner. Very keen to buy one.
Would it be advisable to buy from www.irobot.com.sg (local website), where a contact number is given for us to call? if not, does it mean I have to order from oversea.?

Thanks .. I hope someone could help me.

does Trilobite include any replacement filter in the box? It seems like very troublesome to replace new filter everytime you empty the bin. :s22:

I do not have the red roomba or 570. According to irobot website, newer 5xx series has a larger coverage area than old roomba :s22:

:o buy from local or Courts may cost x2 more than usa irobot store including vpostusa shipping. Though buy local will get a 1 yr local warranty + local power adapter.

cheapest place to buy irobot products will be from www.woot.com

Do note that buying from usa stores, you will get a 110v power adapter, which you will need to buy a 100w stepdown transformer from local hardware stores (abt sgd$24)

I still wonder why local so sexpensive.... they think we rich or what :(
:s22: seems that only irobot products behave like that.

Other electrcial products sold in sg maybe even cheaper than usa.

:o it all depends how you want to clean the hse.

roomba is for sweep + vacuum

scooba is very little vacuum (eg sand/hair) + mop

For me, i use my scooba everyday, but roomba maybe 1-2 times a wk. :s22:
