for roomba you can get a notebook adapter, same plug but no so sure whether it will have enough power.

For scooba plug is special.

oh okay... cos today went marina square walk walk... saw Homefix so i went in walk walk... 150W around $35.00...

i think i will stick to transformer... no need to think so much since so many bros here have no problem....

GKRobots

regarding GKrobots,think they no longer sell in Singgapore, I wrote them sometime in Oct/Nov last year, got an email from them informing me that they no longer ship to s'pore but can ship to Taiwan (i now live in Taiwan).Think they're still in Business , just not in S'pore.

actually, my charger just bust and it keep o/p varying voltages. a moment is can be 10v and the next become 20v. This is the reason why I am looking for gkrobots to check if they can help me. Any kind souls here can point me where I can get a charger replacement? Homefix? Selffix? Mustapha?
and how much do they cost?

I also own an old logitech psu that supplies @ 20v at 1.5a. was wondering if i can put it to use?
any advise is deeply appreciated.

it went bust I think after a rainy night. yeap, my psu was always on 24/7 as advised by gkrobots. No transformer was used as the psu was already modified with the 400v capacitor. so any recommendation on which psu to get? I am planning to go homefix later to scout around...

you might want to open up to see if any of the components inside the psu is burnt out. then replacing the parts should do the trick.

sometimes can see capacitors bloated as signs of burning out. others obversations may be if any of the part is charred, black in colour.

I can only see from plan view that one of the legs of the capacitor is a bit rusty, nothing else. nothing is burnt also.

I am thinking of using my logitech psu which produces only 20v, 1.5A to test tonight if he charging can work or not. wish me luck!

Remember to use a SURGE PROTECTOR, a must for Roomba/Scooba PSU unless u dont mind the hassle of a fried PSU which can occur in a lightning strike.

If u think yr PSU is worth spending the $$$ to protect, pls get yr self a decent surge protector. For a single point protection, the cheapest should be the Belkin Surge Cube (around $25 or so). Else, get yrself those power distribution strips with surge protection. I dont mean those XYZ brands. Go for decent ones like APC, Belkin, etc. Some even comes with local insurance coverage.

P.S. That 3A fuse is unlikely to prevent yr PSU from frying if there's a lightning strike.
