Even if that capacitor worked, i would think it would be a little dangerous to use if its like that...

You shall ask for the compact version.
But for the 500 series where they uses the white adapter, the big capacitor can be cover up.

ya, anyway, just for fun nia.... i like to try out new stuff :s34:

last time i buy a xbox 360, also go open up the casing and mod myself :D

if i am not wrong, the white adaptor is for 500 series of roomba. i am using that also, modded and working well for the past 2-3 months.

battery juice still quite good, as mentioned earlier, about 90 over mins of run time with a single charge

:s22: yah lor, why poke a big hole there?

Good question. ;)

However, if he didnt poke a big hole, how's the cap goin to fit inside? He got a big cap not the more ex type which is shorter and can fit nicely.

I think i saw it in yahoo auction .. they asking $128 which i think way too expensive.. may be you can bargain?

For batt, i have asked worcells, they quoted me about $120 to re-pack the cells for the battery pack. Not sure what other vendors in SLT charges.

There is a cheaper solution to the battery. If u are willing to pry open the battery case, go get replacement cells direct from Ebay. Comes packaged with sensor, wires and 3300mAh Sub C Cells. Simple drop in replacement (no soldering required) and less than a S$80 all in with shipping. :D

i just whack one cause i'm there late.. den all the shop close liao

anyway, i will be using back 110v charger as i got this step down transformer which is quite solid looking with 2 output support... so 1 will be for roomba and 1 will be for my future scooba :D

12 Sub Cs, 14.4V. Of course, Sub Cs for RC apps have gone to 4XXX mAh, lost track liao. Anyhow, dont go crazy with extreme high capacity on the Roomba, it'll be a waste. 3300mAh to 3600mAh should be fine.

why wasted? you meant its internal memory can't allow longer action?

glo69 at roombareview.com. Scooba battery is usd65 and roomba 4xxx one is usd55. Since it's from usa no warranty unless you ship it back to the person.
