but this 5806 looks like last time hsn.com 5800 model with extra virtual wall + scooba mat.

What does the scooba mat do? seemed like it's just a ordinary mat.

nothing much, just to hold dripping water if there's any.

Now I don;t use this mat, i place my scooba on metal grill trolley to air dry the underside.

ic. Do you need to do alot of cleaning on scooba after a few mission? What is the weekly maintance for scooba?

example for roomba, after a few mission will need to clean the brush, remove those hair stuck and some other minor maintance job

There isnt really a weekly or monthly maintenance for Scooba, unlike Roomba. Just need to clean/wash the filter, port and brush after each use. Perhaps an occasional oiling of the front wheel axle to reduce wear.

Turns out to be a 380 instead!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!

Seems like only recent orders within the 2 weeks will get a 380 instead. My earlier 340 is also a 340. No big deal actually, just some extras but the external charging base should be useful. That said, i find the light blue colour more lively.

depends on yr needs.

if you always sweep floor now, then roomba. If you always mop floor then scooba.

if the floor still have some dirt or hair, will the scooba pick up? btw, the gap btw my sofa and coffee table or some other places is quite small, then the scooba will 'reject' those place or will actually go round the other side. sorry, nvr see a real scooba working before so my questions are very ignorant.

yes, scooba can pick up hair + dirt but not larger pieses of paper or rubber band.

it will not reject those places unless it can't go in.

U can get to see them in action on youtube. At the site, do a search for either Scooba or Roomba and u'll find some videos on them.
