hi there, I think I understand that CGW doesn't ship batt or liquid, not sure if that has changed, you might want to check.

on their website they nv list Ni-Mh in it.
few weeks ago, I have also send them an email to be sure and their reply is as long as its Ni-Mh, and stated on the packaging, it will be allowed.

but i bought the last one a while ago with 10% discount and shipping is around US$65 only. so a total of around 420sgd.

i think it's the old 550..the new 550 from costco is with "aerovac" right?

The new aerovac bin 550 has a auto virtual wall and the top handle is gone. It's faceplate is also different with some checker design.

Oh btw there's no virtual lighthouse for it.

The charge you fixed today works well. I hope it keeps this way. Looks really nice without the 220/110 converter !! I should have done this early so that no need to waste money on the 2 converters (now all blown).

We would like to inform you that NiMh batteries are ok to ship as long as they ship separately from the item/instrument they are intended for.



We understand that you would like to purchase just the battery pack itself, and this should be ok. We just have to indicate NiMh Battery Pack (Dry Cell) on the DHL Waybill and note that it is “not restricted” under Special Provision 130 before we ship it to you. This is case to caase basis only.

Cleanmate's navigation is slow and not as smart as roomba. Roomba's edge cleaning is far more better than cleanmate.

If you were to compare both bots after a run, roomba's filter is always full of dust and cleanmate does it's job in picking up loose debris, fur, hair but only a fair bit of dust.

I don't think woot have the roomba 560 yet. Irobot selling 560 at US$349.

Checkout our local ebay.com.sg. There are people selling 560 at $650 which is quite resonable in my opinion. US$349 is about S$506 + 7% GST = $542

$542 + $75 (shipping) = $617. If you buy a transformer it will cost you close to $650 too.

I bought the roomba 550 from amazon in August this year, no complain so far... btw make sure you double check that it comes with virtual lighthouse but not only virtual wall

I think the 550 Amazon is selling comes with LH tech instead of VW only. I have got e one that is so called the new 550, though it's more like 551. It comes with a new Aerovac bin, slimmer VW and no handle. Uploading some pictures to share.

I wonder why Irobot do away with the handle which is quite handy. Since they already got RF build in for the auto virtual wall, why they wanted to remove the lighthouse technology also. Funny thinking.
