I usually advice my customer not to get a lighthouse first unless your roomba is not reaching to certain rooms. So far they are quite happy. I have tried with and without lighthouse but seems with and without the lighthouse, it still does a good job. So still kudos to Roomba!!

So if they decided that lighthouse is the one they need, they buy another new one???

I seriously still clueless abt LH, cos' I guess my hse too small to really use them ... Just VW the areas that roomba likely to get stuck.

Btw, just curious, anyone hse got 2 docks w one roomba? Does it really go to the nearest one when it's like 'tired' or it just go back to the same one? :)

The possibility of having 2 docks is absolutely feasible. Cos u can theoretically shift ur dock halfway during clean cycle, so since Roomba docks by line of sight, it won't ignore dock 2 and die die must look for dock 1.

Try buying it and I bet you'll file for a claim 3 weeks later. These chinese seller always get many feedbacks by selling items for less than 10 cents with free shipping and then con you with back with interest. Look at how many he sells within a day and he will be MIA after 3-5 days.

Do you think posting even a light small envelope from HK to US with a sale of 10 cents is viable with free shipping? What profit do they get? It is obviously a scam.

Actually the customers are real. They really deliver the items for free but I doubt you'll get this roomba as this is all a setup.

I've bought some travel adaptor for 2 cents with free shipping and I really get it. Try bidding one and you'll see they will restrict you from bidding or buying a second item within 10 days to prevent too many repeat customer.

What I would actually comment on items on ebay is sometimes not really reliable. I have a friend who bought a Roomba for $150 and it was stated brand new and when the item arrive, it was working fine but from the looks of it, it does not look genuine. Its noisier and slower so do be careful when purchasing item from ebay. Be even more careful when items are exported from HK or China.

Any 500 series manufactured recently is the same as the battery is now standard in capacity. It all depends on the features and accessories you need.

Which model recommend for HDB 5 rooms?

5 room flat range from 1200 sq ft to 1500 sq ft so a roomba 500 series which covers around 1200 sq ft would be good enough.

You still have to minus the space your furnitures occupy at home like any bed or wardrobe

Hey where did all the scooby bro go? Been so quiet for a wk! ;)
There were newbies, but now newbies have grown up and no longer need Q&As. Or too busy reading the 500+ pages here.

Frankly, almost everything had been discussed here, except how to repair. Say also no use cos equipment & technical handling are things that needs time, practice & willingness to spend on tools. Plus improvisation & thinking out of the box helps.
