They say thieves are rich! its proven, now they want to buy yahoo!

Melted part on the neato seems like a common case right now. I got one sent back. Thats scary!

I believe its likely a QC issue. Did u notice anything wrong with the metal charging contacts on the unit that was sent back? If i'm not wrong, the charging contact with the melted surrounding plastic is not evenly protruded from the body, leading to part of the plastic body in constant contact with the charging plates on the dock. The prolonged exposure to heat with melt and deform the plastic in time. This will cause the charging contact to sink further in, making matters worse. :( This problem would not have occurred if the metal charging contacts are properly secured in their respective holders! :s8:

The thieves are those sellers whom list the items for sale and not the organisation that setup Alibaba.

You'll have more returns to come :)

Where can buy decent step down voltage coverter? I can modify the adapter myself actually, but will prefer not to.

There you goes, the 385 from woot comes with a universal 100-240V 50/60 Hz charger so you don't need a transformer but it comes with a US 2 pin & for that, you need an adaptor.

Unless yr bot doesn't cm w a pre-packed invoice, else u shd nt be able to under-declare, cos' yr forwarder, in this case CGW, will take the invoice attached w the package that is ship to them and declare accordingly.

There was a instance i get do declare the value of my own item is when the item was shipped as a replacement of a fault unit that I have sent back, but take note that hw much you declare will have a impact on yr insurance claims shd the item be damaged or lost in transit. :)

Has irobot chg all their adaptor to universal or is it just this woot 385?

No, Scooba 385 is their european model so it comes with a universal charger. Notice the plug in the pic is seperable from the charger? That is because for europe they have a 2 pin, uk 3 pin & us 2 flat pin.

This is the same for the roomba 555, 564 and 581.

Robovac iRobot Store sells with the original 100-240V 50/60Hz charger and others sell with modified 120V 50Hz charger which is not approved by Spring Singapore. Visit Robovac iRobot Store, the 1-stop solution for iRobot.

You will not need new parts if it is working fine. Just a thorough cleanup will be sufficient. How long does the battery last for a mission? You might need a new battery to improve it's performance soon.

Repair & Warranty

Hi Vachel,

Does that mean autovacstore.com will repair the wheel spring free-of-charge for unlimited times (though everyone hopes it won't happen more than once) throughout the 6 month warranty period? The Neato is bought from your store.

I agree with jubooo saying the spring in the wheel is giving problem that is why we are providing free repair for neato wheel spring if set is under warranty period.

Neato has been having some very good review from our customers so rest assured if anyone are interested in Neato sets

If it is a good repair, it should last you pretty long and at most you will need the repair 4 times as there is only a set of wheels.
