Is 10 gbps internet useless?

I got this from taobao, its a barebone, I need to buy 32G DDR5 SODIMM, 1TB M.2 SSD and a miniPCIe WiFi 6 card

Built-in 2 * 10G SFP+ and 2 * 2.5 NIC, the 10Gbps DAC connect to this minipc to my TP-LINK 10G SFP port.
Serves as a download station with a actual max download speed of 7.8 Gbps

This should make a decent PFSense appliance. How many amps needed on the 12V?

12V5A is the minimum if u need SATA.

My company is still using 1gbps for all the employees. We have more than 50 employees. If 1gbps is enough for more than 50 employees, I don't see the needs for a family size of 4 to use 10gbps.

I LoLed hard at this. U comparing corporate line vs consumer line? 1gbps si mi? MPLS? SD WAN?

Anyway, iirc..purple, red n green now no more 1gb plan..either 3gb or 5gb as the minimum..

Saw some reviews. Very low spec router.
You won’t get everything Wi-Fi 7 has to offer with the Archer BE230/BE3600. But if all you care about is Gigabit-class bandwidth for a single-broadcaster home, this little router has more than enough to offer.
Even for WiFi 6 router. Can be as cheap as 100 plus and more than 1k for ROG router. Are they the same?

I think it helps when I use it to “chop” or “fight” for queue system when I need to F5 many times once the sys opens

if you often download from file server (rapidgator, gofile, nitrofile & etc), it can saturate your available bandwidth. so may worth the effort to go with 10gbps.

the problem is, the gap of 10gbps with lower tier package is very narrow (if any). if that's the case, might as well go with 10gbps.

if they are able to offer $15 for 500Mbps, I will sign up straightaway but that's commercially not possible regardless of speed.

$20 for a 1Gbps plan is the sweet spot.

Unless you have a family of >20 members simultaneously streaming 4k videos or you are actually hosting a streaming/bt server from your house, current mainstream of 1gb plan is more than sufficient


Those say they need 1gpbs for their day trading etc...are IT dumb dumbs. What they actually need is very low latency ping
Trading only requires very little bandwidth, 10mbps more than enough to use

actually needs only 500Mbps for streaming 20 4k videos. one netflix / youtube 4k video needs only 25Mbps.
