Warning to all. Do not use the cheapo multiple countries adaptor plug for high wattage appliances. The plug contact area is reduced leading to higher resistant and heat up.

Use dedicated adaptor plug or change the plug to singapore 3 pins plug.

Rice cookers usually have removable power cable. The same type as computer psu cable. Can change to a cable with singapore 3 pin plug.

Are you ok to receive a dead item upon arrival? If ok, you just wanna try your luck, then go for those items with many good reviews, or buy from those 天猫 stores, more reputable.

I have never bought anything on Tabao before.
I was just looking through. Am thinking of buying some electrical items. Is it safe to use their China plug with an adaptor?
Considering buying stuff like low sugar rice cooker, dehydrator ( this one will have to be on for many hours) hand blender etc
Safe or not?
Yes, it’s safe. But pls get from reputable seller or official ones.

Sorry, I don't read Chinese. So I don't know how to look for those

SG also sell this, but very ex.
If I do buy that, I might get it from TB.
Am drawing up a list. Am assuming that the first timer free shipping is for whole list ordered. Will have to check before submission.
Cooking rice doesn't take long so I can monitor. As for dehydrator, needs many hours, so I can't monitor .
Actually, I don't have high sugar.. but I'm thinking it should have same effect for arsenic ( rice has arsenic).

Potential fire hazard
I cannot comprehend why imports of such electronic appliances are not banned yet.

For those 3 pin plug, you can go any hardware shop and buy a local plug and change it yourself. No need any adapters.

Yes and i want to add:

In fact it becomes safer when you do not use adapter, especially for those high power appliances like cookers and heaters. So change the plug when that appliance is going to be used long term.
