if we really reached a stage where we have to depend on pap for everything, then we are really in deep shiet

But if those companies close shop then what are the singaporeans working inside gonna do?

Alot of people will be out of job leh. FT problem is not simple.

And your solution is to stick with PAP
that is the same party that created "FT problem"
and will make the "FT problem" even bigger down the road?

You already know for sure PAP
doesn't have the solution to the problem they created
and yet you don't make changes.

You already know they are the ones responsible for the problem
and yet you don't make changes.

You already know for sure PAP are going to make the problem bigger
and yet you don't make changes.

Fine, see you at population 10M and SG core at 3M.

If PAP is out of power, who will be running the show in SG?

Opposition all combine together?

Need to slowly ah. i dont think opposition can handle it.

The unwavering core of miw supporters pretty much ensure they will have the majority.

I am as sure of this as the sun rises tomorrow.

Qn is whether they can continue to bulldoze policies through.

Those who live through 60s and 70s as an adult will continue to vote for PAP.

you can't fault them as they have seen and experience different hardship.

We have become so domesticated we rather be spoon fed than to work things out ourselves.

Truth is, there is nothing the pap can do, that only their chosen ones can do. Look at the ppl they chose. Zorro, tpl, etc. Talents?

Please don't think highly of pappies. Its not as if they are some special breed of ppl, they are just humans like us afterall. The problem is pappies have ingrain the idea that if pappies were to lose power, sg will fall. That is utter bullsheet.

Simple. Do you believe life is always rosy?

Some jobs are not supposed to be in Singapore in the first place.

PAP merely resorted to importing foreigners
because they have no other ideas how to create jobs.

Why? Because nobody stopped them last time.

And down the road in 2030, when people asked
why are there so many foreigners more than Sinkies,
they will blame those who could have made
a difference in 2011 and 2015
who chose not to make a difference.

The future generations will blame you

so, in your opinion, do you think we should change that by voting more opposition into the parliment?
But currently, i look at the opposition all are not inline with one another, then the direction like not here not there.

What would be your stance on this?

if you are to look at oppo parties as every individual partiy which has its own sets of aims, goals and aspirations, then there is not a need for them to be totally inline on EVERYTHING., if they all holds the same views on EVERYTHING, then there wont be a need to have Multiplr parties, just under one registered party is enough.

Since they are of different party, expect and respect them to hold diffetent views too...dont lump them all as one and make claims that oppo parties are just "a pkate of scattered sand" and not unified.

If PAP cant even work with WP, why expect other parties to be able to work as one united party ?

Some of you here are complete idiots. Not all oppo parties are competent. Any sensible person would would vote PAP rather than the likes of RP, SDA or SingFirst.

And who are you to know or judge?

Was PAP better at running the public service or managing the economy
before PAP was voted in?

Absolutely not.
PAP had zero such experience before they were voted in.

PAP had many more experience
in organizing protest rallies, demonstrations, sit-ins, strikes
before PAP was voted into power,
activities I'm sure you disagree with.

Yes, PAP has more experience in the above "activities"
than WP or SDP before getting into power.

Exactly, different parties have different ideologies. Don't know why people expect them to "compromise". To me, "compromising" just for the sake of getting into parliament actually discredits themselves.

I expected there to be someone to jump the gun and go completely off tangent. :s13:

Did you not notice that I did not mention WP or SDP? :) And that I did not mention relevant experience in public services either.

And have you watched SDA's rallies? :) The ones where the leader is Desmond Lim, not Chiam See Tong who is now in SPP.

And do you know how much of a loose cannon KJ is? While SDP has released white papers that are worth a read, KJ has been randomly blasting all over social media. Although RP did have capable members, but they have all left for other parties not long after joining, citing differences in opinion among the leadership. Clearly KJ, is not an easy person to work with.

I would think that before anyone would vote for a party, the party would need to at least prove to the people that they have a strong and stable leadership.

Well, KJ penned articles on accountability most of the time,
and what he writes on accountability
for eg the use of public resources (sec) on the roy lawsuit.
is actually the norm standards in rest of the first world countries.
and yet you call them "blasting all over social media."

Let me refresh your memory on
how LKY was blasting with the airwaves
about democracy and free press/speech
that is before LKY was voted in.

" But we either believe in democracy or we not. If we do, then, we must say categorically, without qualification, that no restraint from the any democratic processes, other than by the ordinary law of the land, should be allowed… If you believe in democracy, you must believe in it unconditionally. If you believe that men should be free, then, they should have the right of free association, of free speech, of free publication. Then, no law should permit those democratic processes to be set at nought.” – LKY as an opposition leader, April 27, 1955"
