Some of you here are complete idiots. Not all oppo parties are competent. Any sensible person would would vote PAP rather than the likes of RP, SDA or SingFirst.

Any sensible competent person will not join the oppies for fear of getting fixed
Joining opposition is not for the faint hearted, only those with balls of steel dare to venture in. Town council losing millions is deemed as an honest mistake in PAP wards, it'll be counted as a fraud if happened in Opposition wards.

Thanks to the many many screw ups by WP managing AHPETC, they confirmed the myth. Opposition WILL ruin the country. That's why its so difficult to vote for them. Only the draft and stupid will still vote the other party. A small number of idealist thinking "Democracy" will put food on the table will do that as well

The new government should form an island-wide town council to deal with hosekeeping issues like managing town facilities and upgrading own infrastructure, just like LTA is the agency in charge of transport. It should not be a party-specific prerogative.

Political parties should then contest only on nation-wide social and economic policies.

Town Council matters should not be used as election gimmicks.
