Hello guys/gals,

Really sad to read about this, and the negative impact on other retailers by his behavior just makes me angry... i'll highlight some options here for your review:

The subordinate courts' have this system for ecommerce disputes resolution here:
http://app.subcourts.gov.sg/e-adr/index.aspx

You can also either pool money and seek legal counsel via a few representatives or seek free legal aid / advice thru various channels such as http://www.lawsociety.org.sg/probono/CLC/aboutCLC.aspx (they may not entertain corporate/business cases though..)

Sigh....I'm currently overseas studying & won't be back until Jan 2012.

I left SG last year Feb when he was still fine and I've have been transferring money to him up till few months back and he told me that he kept those items which has arrived in his warehouse and I can collect them when I'm back.

But looks likes this is no going to happen.......

To all friends out there, I'll be heading down to CASE tomorrow to ask them for advice. We all know that Mike has supposedly filed for bankruptcy. I'll be asking CASE for advice as to what we can do against a company that has terminated its business.

The chances of getting our money back are rather slim. For one, now that his business is terminated, he has almost no liability to the company name. But right now, I'm not really bothered about the money, but I'm more concerned about getting some justice done. I don't think it's fair if he manages to walk away scot-free.

I'll keep you all posted with advice from CASE tomorrow. Regards.

to check, got to pay a fee online and check if he really did....but need his IC....

for business...either partnership or proprietor, they are liable for the claims made against them. PTE LTD then abit difficult. either one, still need to go to maxwell road...URA centre....

IPTO....insolvency and public trustee office. company winding up and insolvents and creditors go there to settle it amicably. u can check his company records with his RCB, and check at the same time using that record for his individual insolvency.

if u gt his full name and IC...check on papers...every wk papers will list insolvents near obituaries. cant rem which day liao..tink friday or something.

means that friday aka today...will list those who are insolvents for the past week.

I don't see how case can take any action since MKZ has already filed for bankruptcy. I am shocked by the sudden turn of events. I have lost a few hundred.

Instead of case, we should be going to public trustee office to check if he has really done so and if yes we file claims. If no, we should be making police report

I knew Mike and Kelly before they even open a shop in Chinatown. Yes I do agree that certain action they`ve done was not the best way to handle this messy situation. I was given a chance to obtain the refunds, but I declined as I wanted the pre-ordered items to come (So give chance with my trust in him)... And I am regretting it every second... Trust misplaced.
