interesting... i had a 64GB Sandisk Ultra 30MB/s that only lasted 4 months, suffered similar symptoms until the point where the files cannot be deleted from the SD card, nor formatted. current 64GB is 3 months and counting. and this is with fully sheltered parking day and night (ITB-100SPW).

mine also encounter the same issue as SD cards kaput....already changed
three cards and all are original brought from Sandisk distributor..

I'm using the ITB100 Wifi model .... I have similar issue. Bought a 64GB SD card and only lasted about 2 months ... failure mode is exactly what you have described ... put back the original 8GB SD card that came with the camera and so far so good ...

My car also parked under open car park in my office compound ...

hmm... seems like i'm not alone! though different models, i assume all are sandisk cards? anyone using other brands and also having the same problem?

The wifi model of itb100 cmi....had total 3 units of itb100, which one is wifi and the non wifi ones lasting the longest.

Seems like so card will kaput after 2yrs of usage or so at least that's when my first sd kaput and changed since

for me,

used the itb100SP for 1 year: No problem at all
used the itb100SPW since its out: Also no problem at all. I have wifi-formatted the 64GB card 2-3 times when the beep come out. Never took out SD card at all unless want to take it offline to desktop to check/upload some clips.

for the SPW model, I do admit that I don't wifi connect to it unless I want to format SD card via iOS, or to view past clips for on-road incidents.

Problem with WiFi set

Hi All,
I installed the ITB100SPW with the power saver wired direct to battery onto my 2013 Toyota Wish. At the end of the day after work or overnight parking when unlocking the door the DVR will shut down, and power up when I start my engine.

I changed my battery to a larger capacity and still have this problem. 4 of my colleagues with Itronics (non Toyota) don't have this problem. Any Wish driver has this problem?

SD failure

I read that many people are having failure with their SD card, my 64GB Scandisk card also became faulty after a couple of months. Now cannot even format the card, always ended with format failure. I have switch to Transcend 64GB card and so far is working fine 1 year already.

Current my ITB100SPW is on firmware v1.0. There is an update of firmware v1.1 from their official ipassmall website. Anyone has flashed it to the latest update and does it have the english language option?

Hmm... this thread isn't as active as before.

Anyway, I saw that DxSuite has the ITV-90 external battery pack. Anyone knows how it works? Will I still need a power saver? How does it recharge itself?

And going through all the posts, it seems like there are more problems with the Wifi model. Is the non-wifi model still on sale?

go outside audio shops like soundwerkz etc...don't pay more than $30 otherwise ur being carroted.

its really easy if u are a DIY person, wonder how much those juhu kias make in a day just installing cams, less than 15mins job

Me too have the same issue. Sandisk Ultra 32GB micro SDHC x 2 just went kaput after I pull them out to retrieve a video clip. can't format on both Windows or Mac OS. tried to google and found out seems like a global issue with their micro SDHC...

just bought Samsung cards and gonna RMA these 2 faulty cards

Keep having repeated beep beep sound

hey all,

have been hearing beep beep sound (non stop) when i parked my car overnight.

have to pull out the cable and insert again to reboot it. Is it my battery good game liao?

btw the way, i just realised it have previously stopped recording for about 3 months (my fault for not checking, and lucky no accident)...

got it today, check the SD card, found the Setup.bin but no PC installer.

downloaded the Blackbox PC player v1.4, streaming videos are working
As voice is in korean and is recording every single minute, i need to change the settings. I formatted my SD card and selected my settings and click ok... but when i go back to check it is reverted to original settings. Nothing was saved!

went back to the car to check... still korean.

if i recall correctly, black box pc player v1.40 will only work with firmware v1.1 of the ITB-100SPW (saving of settings wise). can you check if your dashcam is already updated to firmware v1.1?

Thanks Wacko for the valuable information. My dashcam is on v1.2 and i downgrade my dashcam to v1.1, works fine now.

I dont want my parking to be constantly recorded due to indoor night parking, so i set my motion sensor to insensitive?
