Google sey hotel cleaner pay ish $1694. So four months is $6,776. 2nd hand rolex so cheap? Where u see?
It's $2000 a month now. :)

Btw, the resale prices of Rolex have dropped. If you own a few pieces of course you won't like to hear this...

In fact, I am considering disposing it quickly before it gets as hard as it's for a Singaporean to sell his flat in Malaysia.

wear a watch of any kind any brand is okay. don't wear a watch also fine.

but i'm too shy to wear two watches, one on each wrist - for whatever reasons.
Start wearing a regular watch on your usual wrist and a health tracking smartwatch on the other. Then soon you will be used to it.

Rolex is for uncles and towkays. If you are one, take it as a badge for your group. Show off.

Even at $8k, where to buy? I had been looking for stainless steel one. That kind of price can get?
Can. Just bargain, and find hairlines, anything you can to downgrade it from Mint to Minor Defects status.

And it's.........see who is more desperate. The shop owner has staff salaries and shop rent to pay, and his stocks are not FMCG. Even if he himself only eats Maggi Mee for lunch, he needs the moolah to keep rolling in to cover his operating costs.

On your part, it's your brain telling you

1. Must buy it for reasons only you believe (your brain at that moment termed 'impulse buying' or

2. mlmlwml. Not going to blow so much marnee on that thing. Just wear the HPB smarty can already lorh.

The watch's dial still looks as nice.

However, the physical optics cannot change the mental optics. It's a watch which is associated with "older men". The Rolex,, especially the half gold model, was the talk of the town in the 1970s and 1980s, IIRC. Even the poor man would die die save up to buy at least a Rolex boy.

And today's consumers were the kiddos or not even born yet in the 1970s. Where is the market when these hopefully-potential buyers consider it to be an old man's pleasure?

can probably find a datejust for that price or get a tudor instead
Why get Tudor? That is the cheap line of Rolex right? Last time around $500. Not buying because I like watches or movement. Buying because it is a Rolex, looks like a Rolex and people can tell at a glance that it is a Rolex.

I hardly see people wearing watches these days. Even the smart watch has lost its hype.

Occasionally, I'd see a boomer wearing a cheap looking watch.

Or else, a zoomer wearing a colourful smarty....honestly, I didn't see a lot of them wearing Apple iWatch, or Garmin or what have you.

And here I am owning a Rolex, which I feel damn shy to be the only person wearing one at any hawker centre or food court or McD. Damn it, nobody wears that in restaurants even!

What am I keeping it for? To console myself, aka lie to myself, that it's a highly desirable object that needs servicing every half a decade for a price that should keep the Rolex technician employed and paid well, and cover the rental of the posh looking premises? Tell myself, to borrow a phrase from PP, that I don't own it but keep it for the next generation(s)? BBFAs don't buy that line though..
Wear Rolex but also wear old style Chinese long sleeve.... Noone can see you wearing 金勞!u will b very safe even in JB....

i threw away my automatic watch for smart watch

now i am throwing away my smart watch for smart ring...

at the end of the day. to tell time, i just need my phone. to answer calls i have earpieces. to track my sleep and heart rate and even notifications, i can use a smart ring.

back to a rolex... i dont know what it can do? if someone needs desperately to show off he is wealthy, there are many other better ways to do that. if someone needs to accumulate wealth, there are many other better ways to do that too.

to TS, if u need to be shy about wearing a rolex. it isnt because no one wears it. instead, u might be shy wearing because a rolex wearer's mindset is way outdated and a tad foolish
