Izu is famous for kinmedai. Seafood is good and dried Aji fish. Ate a lot of that, shirasu and sakura ebi when I was in Izu for 11D. And kaisen don. Can eat their local strawberries and try tea leaves. All from Shizuoka.

it's at some lane of omotesando near adidas original shop? and there aren't really seats?
when i passed by in november, the queue was manageable but need to stand around and eat.

just visited before the New Year. It was roughly $19 for the "Bigger" version and $12 for the "regular" version. I bought both and all I can say is, get the the Bigger version. Better value for money as you literally will get claw meat. The meat is juicy, tender and delicious.
The bread however is the same size. Essentially you're just getting more meat. the regular version got claw meat lah, but not the huge ass claw meat.
I was there for like pre-dinner? line was about 15 people strong. Got my meat in less than 10 mins.
TL;DR - Sedap, but pricey. Heard from another customer Burger & Lobster in UK is better.

The queue is manageable if you come earlier or later than the usual peak hours. I would recommend getting the standard version and dont go for the fancy ones like grilled cheese, etc. The original version is still the best.

Anyone tried Sushi Ichiyanagi in Ginza? It was just awarded 1-star in the Michelin guide 2018. New entry. Pretty decent score on tabelog too.
How about Sushi-Ya? Should be popular with foreigners.

Had recommend sushiya quite sometimes ago....
When the chef first venture out....
If u going soon before March...
U can try sushi ryusuke ( in Ginza ) for lunch....

Going end of the month. I've already gotten lunch reservations for these 2 places but couldn't find any reviews for Ichiyanagi. Only thing I read is they use a higher rice temperature unlike other sushiyas which I don't know how it will turn out.
I’ve never heard that Wagyu beef originated from Hokkaido. Only know there’s a lot of different Wagyu beef in different prefectures.

Anyway among Japan I guess Hokkaido wagyus aren't as well accepted as those from the mainland? I rarely hear of any famous wagyu coming from Hokkaido. Although it could because when i go Hokkaido I only search for seafood and ramen, never really searched for Wagyu

Shiraoi is the most commonly heard of. As for me, I’ve only heard of Hokkaido snow beef, Shiraoi, Onuma and Kushiro Apple.
Go for the experience....
U tends to enjoy more with an open mind....
However lunch usually is few standard dishes...
10 to 12 pieces of sushi for the price of 10k yen, drinks excluded....
Toro should be good this period since is from oma region....

10k isn't that high. lots of the higher end restaurants charge 20, 30, some even 40k onwards per meal.
Yeah I agree. 10K isn't that high. Think I can spend more but maybe just 1 or 2 meals at a higher end restaurant.

I can say don't bother going to steakland
Anyway if nobody really replies here then just use tabelog ba. Anything above 3.5 will be pretty good, above 4.0 will be amazing. Just that lots of the really high end places will be damn hard to get reservations for.

What I was told by the locals is that the wagyu cows in mainland originates from Hokkaido.
In the Hokkaido restaurants I’ve been to, they don’t have the wagyu grades like we know of. They have grades of beef according to region and type, ask them to show you the cut of the meat. So far their local beef, pork, lamb and chicken have not disappoint at all!
