5k for 5 person is 1k per pax. which is 62.5 per day.
if it is just for food, it is more than enough.

but if it include other stuff like train, shopping, entrance tickets etc, then u need to calculate and budget accordingly

not advisable. i would either focus all 12 days at Hokkaido, or Hokkaido+Tokyo.

while Osaka can be covered in 2 days, it is time consuming and expensive to travel all the way there just for the 2 days. and there are many other interesting places to visit near Osaka, such as Kyoto, Nara, Kobe. so it is better to u have more days there if u are going.

[dun think u have enough time for Sumida River. just stick to Ueno park and Ameyoko since they are near ur accom. Sumida River is in Asakusa, so u can cover it in day 4.]

Day 2, wed: Odaiba (Aqua City, Diver City, Rainbow Bridge, Palette town)
- what can I slot in for the morning?
[how about shifting Tsukiji market to this morning? u can walk from Tsukiji to Shiodome or Shimbashi station to take Yurikamome line to Odaiba]

Day 3, thur: DisneySea
Day 4, fri : Checkout hotel. Checkin to First Cabin
Tsukiji Market(morning), Ghibli Studio (afternoon), Asakusa, Tokyo Tower (evening)
Day 5, sat : Checkout First Cabin. Imperial Garden+Palace, Shinjuku, Metropolitan for city view. Check back into Cube hotel
Day 6, sun : Shibuya, Harajuku
[better to visit Harajuku in the morning since shops dun open so early. can go meiji shrine and yoyogi park]

Day 7, mon : Day trip to Kamakura, Roppongi Hills (night view of city)
Day 8, tue : Check out. Last minute shopping Ueno. Leave for NRT at around 12.50pm for 5pm flight.

Hello saffronsatire,

Thanks very much for your suggestions! I was hoping to catch the end of the sakura (if there's any) when I arrive during the first two days. That was why I was thinking of covering Ueno first.

Just wanted to firm up the dates for DisneySea and Studio Ghibli so that I can book the tickets asap. I can play around with the rest of the days once the areas have been grouped together from everyone's suggestions.

Many thanks for helping me to group the attractions together!

Hi evilerniex,

Many thanks for your help in arranging my itinerary too! Looks much better now with more inputs.

Yup, I'm a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails because of the video games. So hoping to get some stuff toy of each of them. I saw on Youtube some years ago that there are Knuckles soft toys in the UFO catcher machines in Joypolis, not sure if they are there anymore or if I can get them at the Sega building.

I missed out Aikihabara. Should I put it in Day 4 or Day 5 since I'm staying there for a night?

Next steps are to book the tickets and research on the trains.

No worries, anyway for Tsukiji Market, do confirm that it is open on the day you are going i.e. it's closed on Wednesdays. Not sure if all the sushi restaurants are also closed if the market is closed. 2015”N‹xŠJŽs“ú

Alternatively, if you're intending to go to Tsukiji early, you can still do Disney on Thursday with Tsukiji. 2 transfers required to get to Maihama but relatively short journey. Have read ppl doing that.

Hence, Ueno + Asakusa can be on Wednesday and hopefully you're in time to catch the sakura as planned.

I am going in summer, I heard Hokkaido is perfect in summer, but it's a bit costly :s22::s22::s22:

But I want to go to Osaka castle haha

yes, shld visit Akihabara since there are many shops selling anime and game merchandises. may be able to find sonic there. but u will need to drop some other places in order to squeeze in Akihabara.

costly in wat sense? u mean because of the domestic flight?
in that case how about just Tokyo + Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto etc)

actually, Osaka castle is one of the worst castle i have been to. if u are heading to Kansai, can consider Himeji or Wakayama castle instead

I found Sonic at the Joypolis in Odaiba! I can get the merchandise at the gift shop outside when I'm at Odaiba. =) I saw some reviews about Sonic at Joypolis on TripAdvisor. =) I've got a really nice looking Tails, so wanted to get a Sonic to pair them up.

I will drop Imperial Palace + Garden to fit in Akihabara.
