Hi i got a question.

when i tried booking online on USS japan. i saw the price was 7,200 yen which is quite ok with me.

but i noticed there's an express pass with harry potter and spider man and etc.

you mean to say you need to buy entrance tickets and get an express tickets to get to experience the harry potter place??

i totalled it up and its aroun $330 for 2 people. WOW thats expensive.

is this normal? can i any means get it cheaper?

express tickets allows u to join the express queue for those rides, which is much faster then the normal queue. it is optional to get express tickets. but normal queues for popular rides can be more than 1hr, so u can consider getting it to save time on queuing

You can go up till 5th stn of Mt Fuji. What is the nearest stn within Marunouchi? Its quite a big area where Tokyo stn is the centre.

1 day for Disneyland is ok. u will need the whole day coz there is going to be a lot of queuing for rides. in fact, if u are going to take all the rides, 1 day is not going to be enuf

1 day trip not going to be enuf to cover mt Fuji, 5 lake and hakone. u can either do lake kawaguchi + mt Fuji 5th station, or hakone.

the east garden is open to public while the palace ground requires a guided tour

Thanks for info, I think my nearest station is Tokyo station, about 6 mins walk according to Google map from my stay.

From what I see, there isn't any direct buses to Mt Fuji 5th stn from Tokyo/Shinjuku now. The mountain could be too deep in snow now. So the next best thing to do is just admire it at the foot hill surrounding cities like kawaguchiko, Gotemba, hakone etc.

Hi, to get into Harry Potter, you will need the Express Pass as well, unless you want to wait till evening time, when they do not check anymore (sometimes).

during peak hours, u will need a timed entry ticket to the harry potter world.
Express pass comes with timed entry ticket. but u can also obtain the ticket the park for free without the express pass, subjected to availability.

no idea about the situation coz the last time I went, there isn't this harry potter world.
but most likely will have a lot of ppl running as well. last time the most popular ride was spiderman, and everyone run to the spiderman ride the moment they open the gate

I can't seem to find the webpage to make online ticket reservations - would like to take the green car option

Can any kind souls help me out here?

But it says...Reservations cannot be made for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen, the Kyushu Shinkansen, the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Joetsumyoko and Kanazawa, nor for the Hokkaido Shinkansen between Shin-Aomori and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto.

How shall I now go about making a seat reservation in Green Car? Should I do it the first day I arrive at Osaka (I will be coming in from Kansai Airport Station, taking the Haruka and alighting at Shin-Osaka station)

Initially planned spa world and the ode onsen in Osaka n Tokyo. But it seems to expensive if just go inside swimming.. So thinking what other alternatives good for kid.

I don't think the baby will be able to play or enjoy much. More like colorful places/swimming pool will be good for her.

Not going for Disney land/sea any theme park. As she won't be able to play.wife n myself also won't be able to play

oedo onsen in Tokyo.

I've visited oedo onsen and i don't think it is at all suitable for a 13 month old baby/toddler. It's an hot spring theme park not a swimming pool.

I think the National Children’s Castle at Shibuya will be interesting for the baby. Some admission fees for adults, but the baby can then get to enter for free.

The other one i saw was NTT Communications: 14-day version for ¥3,780...but this only comes with data.

Is it a norm to make calls via VoIP in Japan?

yup, u can buy in advance. in fact, u can even buy at the JR station in the airport when u arrive.

sorry, not familiar with sim cards coz I try not to be too connected when overseas. I only use wifi at when back in hotel
