i guess his day 9 is package by JTB/ sunrise, so should be alright.

but your 1 day Kyoto trip is really too pack given that you are not staying in Kyoto.

anyway, my itinerary is quite similar to yours in term of route and budget. if you want to save more cost, u got to make your Mt fuji + hakone F&B, and also consider how do you want to travel from Osaka to Tokyo.

UENO and Odaiba is a nice place to visit which you have missed out

Thanks guys..

Your rite!! the day 9 is by sunrise but also looking at 2d/1n package..
Currently considering to make Kyoto 2days also..
Ueno is in my day 5, my bad forgot to pen down here.. haha
Also thinking of visiting Yokohama, worth it?

Just check the SQ airfare.. price went up by $250+..Wooo.. Time re-work my budget

Hokkaido in bloom

by CHEOW XIN YI 05:55 AM Sep 09, 2010

MORE typically a season for falling leaves, autumn in Okhotsk - a region tucked up Hokkaido's north-eastern coast facing cold Sea of Okhotsk currents - is surprisingly filled with rolling flower fields bursting in a kaleidoscope of colours.

From never-ending fields of sunflowers to zinnias to cosmoses, the sight is nothing short of therapeutic for the tired city dweller.

In fact, the Okhotsk region is home to one of Japan's largest cosmos garden. The Taiyo no Oka park in Engaru Town, loosely translated as "hill of the sun", has up to 10 million ha of cultivated cosmos - a flower which has its roots in Mexico.

Entrance fee is a mere $5 - throw in another $3 to enjoy a tour-cart ride to see panoramic views of pinks, whites and yellows from the top of the hill. The best time to visit would be from late August to early October.

While they are usually associated with summer, rolls of giant sunflowers growing up to your waist can also be found in full bloom near the Memanbetse Airport in Ozora town.

For something more natural, head to Cape Kimuaneppu in Saroma Town at sunset to catch red glassworts against the backdrop of mountains and Lake Saroma. The coral-shaped plant grows and thrives in a saline environment, almost like a field of red carpet enveloping the landscape.

Other flower attractions of Okhotsk includes tulip fairs in Kamiyubestu Town and a park filled with pink moss flowers in Takinoue Town, although the two sights can only be seen from early May to June.
