May Summer Trip

hi all,

it's been a year, and i'm planning for my May 2015 trip to Tokyo again~ but this time, it won't be a solo trip- my 'Japan virgin' friend is tagging along for the trip. bought the promo tix from scoot during their sales period; around $480 for scoot biz. so, armed with my half-baked japanese from ikoma, here's our tentative itinerary:

Day 1, sat:
Morning: touch down in Narita, pick up Skyliner tickets, buy Hakone Free Pass; check in at Grand Fresa Hotel in Asakasa;
Afternoon onwards: Shinjuku area (Govt building, Yodobashi Camera, Kabukicho, Don Quixote)

Day 2, sun:
Morning: Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine Spring Festival will take up the whole morning);
Afternoon: Ikebukuro (Sunshine City, Otome Road).
Evening: thinking of going to the public bathhouse (the black black water one, take-no-yu) at night, will see how.

Day 3, mon:
Morning: check out of hotel, 2D1N trip to Hakone: staying at the Palace Hotel Hakone. going Hakone Open air museum, pao the hot springs, see the red torii gates

Day 4, tues:
Morning: Check out of hotel, Gotemba Factory outlet shopping,
Afternoon: go back Tokyo check in airbnb at Ebisu area.
Evening: Shibuya (Hachiko, Shibuya Mens)

Day 5, wed:
Morning: KIV: Mt Takao (saw it on japan-guide, looks interesting and friend seems interested in it. so tot of putting it in the itinerary and see how it goes)
Afternoon: Akihabara
Evening: Utsukushi-no-yu Onsen Resort

Day 6, thurs:
DisneySea (whole day. i looked up the crowd forecast, and thursday is the day with the lowest crowd forecast for my entire duration)

Day 7, fri:
Morning: Asakusa (Senso-ji Temple)
Late morning onwards: Odaiba (Aqua City, DiverCity, Maritan museum, Ferris Wheel, etc.)

Day 8, sat:
Morning: Check out of apartment, go to airport (thinking of the Access Narita bus/Skyliner.)

As always, appreciate any comments! :)

I thinking of going to Tokyo during the last week of March. maybe from 21 to 28.
It is my first time there and we plan to go free and easy.
Looking at all your itinerary, i see until blur.

Where are the MUST GO or MUST SEE places?

must go/must see is very subjective. but I can list down popular places/attractions that most tourist will visit:

(in no particular order)
Shinjuku
Shibuya
Harajuku - Meiji Shrine
Akihabara
Asakusa - Sensoji, Skytree
Ueno - Ueno park, Ameyoko street
Ginza
Tsukiji market
Odaiba
Tokyo Tower
Disneyland/Disneysea

how come u repeating Harajuku, Shibuya and Shinjuku day 1, 3 and 7?
and roppongi on day 4 and 6?

maybe can allocate more time at each place so u dun need to keep revisiting them? for example, u can keep to Shinjuku for day 1, them leave Harajuku and Shibuya for day 7.

i have been to tokyo 3 times already and for my trip this june, i am going to buy the kanto pass and explore the surrounding area. will be in tokyo for akb48 events on the 29th may and hopefully some concerts on the 6 and 7 june. in the days in between, any good area to recommend for me to go?

thinking of going enoshima/kamakura, izu, ibaraki, maybe karuizawa or kawagoe.
if there are any other places or itinerary tt i can follow, please recommend.

also any good recommendation for accomodation for a solo person is highly welcome. i can speak japanese pretty fluently so even if the website is in japanese, it is not problem at all.
