since u have free play on planning the itinerary, u can have shopping for all 8 days! :s13:

looks good.
u can consider putting Tampozan on one of the nights. i would think it will be more beautiful at night. u probably wun have much to do at night for those days u are visiting kyoto anyway.

The Tampozan ferris wheel at night is nice to look at, but the view out of it is not so much. Probably it's not near the city center. Surrounding like quite dimly lit and the brightest is the nearby Kaiyukan. That's what I remembered.:D

Thank you for your comment! I feel less pain cutting Mino waterfall out of this trip, since i don't think the leaves in Osaka would have turned red yet. :)

I am sure you wont miss much by striking Minoo park out. Your 3 kids will thank you for it.

Thanks, evilerniex and cpuer!

Evilerniex, my husband was clever..his only input re: the itinerary was to preempt me and say 'can we not go shopping?' -_-"

As for Tampozan Ferris Wheel, yeah, point taken about view out of it vs view of it..will see how it goes. tough to plan a full day with young kids cos they will probably need to rest at night. :)

Arigato, both! *bows*

28 Oct Wed - AM flight from SG to Japan(Tokyo?) 4PM Check in, walk around & look for food

29 Oct Thurs - DisneyLand

30 Oct Fri - DisneySEA (not decided yet) Need input if it's worth it to go both D:

31 Oct Sat - Tsukiji Market(AM) Meiji Shrine& Yoyogi Park (PM)

1 Nov Sun - Shopping / walking around (no idea yet)

2 Nov Mon - Shopping / walking around , Train/bus to Osaka + check in to USJ Hotel package.

3 Nov Tues - Checkout, USJ(whole day), night check in to Osaka Hotel

4 Nov Wed - Kuromon Ichiba Market(AM), Osaka Aquarium

5 Nov Thur - Any suggestion for shoppings / things to do?

6 Nov Fri - Any suggestion for shoppings / things to do?

7 Nov Sat - Return flight to singapore

Have a few stuff listed to do in both Tokyo & Osaka (Shopping, picture taking places) but we still do not have any solid plans as of yet D: Trying to finalize everything before we start booking our flights and hotel..

If ferris wheel is your thing, the HEP Five could be better, its right smack inside Umeda and the night view should be better. Though its not bigger nor taller than Tampozan one. Covered by Osaka Amazing Pass.

Yeah, we have been looking through the guides! Even on forum xD Just can't really decide on it! hahaha

Yeah! Flying out from Osaka if possible.

well, this is something that you must decide yourselves. Why don't you try to piece them together the best you can, the bro and sis here can then chip in to help refine it.

Thanks! I'll go check out HEP Five. Ferris wheels aren't ReaLLy my thing, but it is a simple activity which i can fit in to empty pockets of time, so it's kind of a backup activity.. :)

if u are not really into ferris wheel but want a nice view of the city, u can consider going Abeno Harukas 300 in Tennoji. it is the tallest building in japan and has an observatory on the top floor. a bit pricy though compare to ferris wheels or umeda sky building

[disneysea have more adult rides. both have their own unique points and it is worth going for both if u are into theme parks. if have to choose one, i would go for disneysea since it is the only one in the world]

31 Oct Sat - Tsukiji Market(AM) Meiji Shrine& Yoyogi Park (PM)
[u can shop around takesh!ta-dori and omode sando in harajuku since u are already there. Tsukiji will be better pair with ginza or odaiba coz they are nearby. but first u need to shortlist the places u wanna go]

1 Nov Sun - Shopping / walking around (no idea yet)
[how about visitng asakusa for sensoji temple and skytree? or shopping in shinjuku?]

2 Nov Mon - Shopping / walking around , Train/bus to Osaka + check in to USJ Hotel package.
[u will need overnight bus if u are going by bus to osaka. go by shinkansen train to save time since u have planned to stay in USJ hotel]

3 Nov Tues - Checkout, USJ(whole day), night check in to Osaka Hotel

4 Nov Wed - Kuromon Ichiba Market(AM), Osaka Aquarium

5 Nov Thur - Any suggestion for shoppings / things to do?
[osaka castle? shopping in namba (dotonbori, shinsaibashi etc) area? shopping in umeda area?]

6 Nov Fri - Any suggestion for shoppings / things to do?

You are visiting Kuromon Ichiba twice? BTW, last time when I was there at around 6+ its already closed except a few supermarket kind of big sea food modern stores still up. Same at Nishiki. These markets seemed like they close early, so try to be as early as you can, don't be like me, reach there at late afternoon or early evening.

If you like Outlets malls, you can plan either Tsurumi Outlets and Rinku town(next to KIX), both are easily accessible from train stations. If you have a late flight, you can hang out in Rinku Town while waiting for your flight.

Yeah, the second time was like really just to walk it and just see. More shops were closed compared to the first time. But i was there earlier! Maybe it was public holidays & Sunday? I went twice to Karahori too, the shops were barely opened. We only walked the supermarkets again and again..

My flight's at 415pm.. dont think there's time haha.

hard to say, it's seasonal and mall to mall kind. You can decide by checking out their website before heading down.

Whether a tour is better depends on you. We wanted to have a very slack holiday so it wasn't too long for us.

We loved the airbnb home a lot. Its very safe and very convenient to me. Just few mins walk from mrt, 10 mins to castle, 15 to keihan mall, karahori, and longer to namba area. The owner's quite responsive too. We oaid 783sgd for 7 nights, 2pax. And has just about everything except oil and condiments and food lol.
