bro.. labour is 1 time charge for whole thing...

eg :
amsoil signature $148
brake fluid $30
Coolant $35
transmission $70 (after markup)
engine filter $20
cabin filter $20

labour $80

total about $403. transmission fluid not always need to change mah

Cost average out it's super cheap. And was there a charge of $80 for Labor?

what is the diagnosis and problem stated by AD?
the misfire i hope not due to fake plugs. my regular ws seem to keep hinting to me alot of fake stuff out there.
They didnt do the misfiring, just the leakage. The leakage was found at the 'connector' of the hose. When i pressed for more info whether its not tighten, or too tight, the SA didnt want to comment more - think probably he didnt know or ask the technican on this.

Normally the mechanic will show some pictures or give more details on the status to inform the owner why those replacements are recommended.

They may also reveal if it's essential or optional for those replacements.
Just showing the quotes don't show the full picture.
Original and third party components have a big price difference.
It's also not the parts that is expensive, it's the labour cost. Some jobs can take the mechanics a whole day to address one problem.

Reason why mechanics list out everything is not to fleece you, is to tell you that those are the spotted problems and it's up to the user to decide whether to address them.

Because there are always chao kuan customers who expect that the mechanic fix totally everything after sending for repair to fix 1 issue. Or blame the mechanic for other issues arising after fixing one problem.

Fix air con, later complain how come the car breakdown after send for repair, etc and blame everything on the mechanic.
So it's essential that the Mechanic tell you those problems first and this passes the responsibility to the car owner.

The mechanic can of course choose to keep quiet and wait for the problem to appear then you LL need to face the risk of using a car that has problem, more failures and more down time.
This is usually what an incompetent or a lazy mechanic will do.

He chk battery very weak, must change

First of all, are they following Honda's recommended maintenance schedule? You can check autosaver - http://www.autosaver.com.sg/service_honda.htm

Here is the price of things I changed over the last two years. Not the cheapest, but I also can't be bothered to save every penny:

Shell Helix Servicing (Every 10,000 km) ~ $100
Honda Transmission Fluid (@ 80,000 km) ~ $80
Honda Brake Fluid (@ 80,000 km) ~ $80
Denso Spark Plug (@ 100,000 km) ~ $105
Battery Bosch EFB N55L (Every 2-3 years) ~ $120
Cabin Filter and Engine Filter (Every 20,000 km) ~ $20 each but I change myself

The price is slightly on the high side, and but not say super super ex. qn is whether so many things need to be changed.
SLG. Doing one final maintenance before renew? 60k mileage for SLG quite low

im fine with it. he usually does more things that's not listed and some minor works he will brush it off. whenever the bill gets too high, he will relook and see where he can give discount. ultimately, still running a business.
ive been to plenty of other places and they charge more . hence stuck with him

bear in mind, mine is a 15yr old car now. SJ plate with 4yrs coe left. the amount of work and maintenance is higher. my mileage is already at 300k. when i took over the car, i hit 60k very fast .. every week about 500km, those times i travelled to JB or go holiday to KL/Malacca, 1 month can hit 3000km
