I took JLPT 4 last year but I only joined JCS in Jun this year and will be taking JLPT 3 this year. What you learnt in Elementary course in JCS should be sufficient for you to pass JLPT 4 (but not necessary good grades). If you want to pass with flying colours, you may still need to do some kind of self-studying.

True, it is not equivalent, but if u r looking for a benchmark, 'O' lvl is abt JLPT 2. But with conversation, composition and written comprehension.

So it is a little tougher.
It's more like a little over JLPT 3 rather than JLPT 2. You've obviously never taken JLPT2 so you don't know how difficult it is. And JLPT 2's comprehension questions are much tougher than O' level ones with shorter time given to complete the questions.

i think the proper way of saying every sat should be "毎週の土曜日" instead of "毎土曜日" but "毎土曜日" seem fine to me too.

Anyone can clarify?

The proper, textbook way should be 毎週の土曜日。 but 毎週土曜日is more often used.
in actual conversation alot of things are omitted, and can sound very different from what we learn in school.

lol. If that nick's the fellow whom I suspects to be, then not only has he taken JLPT2, but he's already passed JLPT1 and have 'O' level Japanese too.

Anyway, I hear JLPT tests get more difficult with each passing year.

You mean the person of the same nick from GS forums?

Anyway the part about the JLPT tests getting more difficult is true. Even the Japanese senseis have mentioned about it.

I ever did try out a sample O level paper and I can say that the grammar and reading comprehension portions are quite easy to breeze through. So most likely the the paper is not scaling in difficulty as compared to the JLPT.

Yep. Probably the same person. Hehe...

What my teacher told me is that every year, 1 question from JLPT1 will move to 2, 1 from 2 will move to 3, and 1 from 3 to 4. So guess they only need to think of setting 1 new JLPT1 question every year :s13:

Hi, I asked the admin staff before. She said the result will be released on 10 Dec. You can either choose to go to JCS to view your results (think they will post it there) or you wait for them to mail your results to you.

Think the mail will state whether you can proceed to the nxt level or not and also the registation details (eg. registration date for 2008 classes).
