How Wuss bro train until so fast? I always follow Wuss wash Aircon thread and now can DIY already. but this run prowess I cannot lol
I just stuck with training and training, probably overtrained a little and then pulled back, then see which schedule works best for me. Actually i never stopped (cario) since i started in 2020 covid.....just a matter of racewalking / running and now cycling + running. And played with between morning and night sessions and see which one i can sustain longer.....coz obviously night sessions i can do longer (good for Z1/Z2), but issue is it would not be good between Mar - Nov months where it would be rather warm even at 7.30pm.
Actually i did not really reach my target of TT 2.4 last time passing mark of 12.30 min done via racewalking or sustain 5.11 min/km pace for 12.5 mins / 2.4K
I feel that cycling and racewalking gets me fewer injuries, in fact basically none. Just a wee bit of niggles here and there sometimes when i overdo a little but that's about it.
One more thing, i could not do really long runs / LSDs, but eventually i could do it via cycling. Maybe that helped a little to squeeze ta little bit out more, without going into very specific 5K or 10K training (specificity). And also, cycling let me access the hills, and also brought me to extra places to run, so the added bit of motivation is there. Added variety etc.
I dont know about running, but i feel for cycling, the strength training and back / core really helps.....the improvement is unmistakable. The past 3 months i really was into core and back and upper body strength training. Esp since i am not doing road cycling, so quite fair bit of twisty bits sometimes....esp for a foldie + small wheels / shorter wheelbase which is more maneuverable / twitchy comparatively.
