Went for the ASICS running group yesterday, did 2 x 3km hard run.

First set: Didn't manage to track but should be around 4.40/km pace

Second set: Paced with another guy from the club and ran 13.26 in 3km, 4.29/km pace

Not feeling that good during the run due to eating fried food for lunch.

Lead pack was running at 4.00-4.10/km pace

Pic..not doing pb, just jog to keep fit only.
just aim for zone 2 and some zone 3 maybe zone 4 / LT1 heart rates for final 500m to 1K..........is fine one. Easier effort than your 2.4 last time esp if aiming to pass it and siam RT . :ROFLMAO:

Nowadays good weather too, mornings maybe not super cool like 23-24, but then the RH% is relatively lower, about 10% lower than other months early mornings due to the northerly winds. So at least not so sticky ba....and also offer a wee bit of cooling in the process of evaporation.

Thks bro.
Better don't join.
Community run has it's attraction. It provide a free 'race' atmosphere for those who want to PB a 5k. Some just want to be in an event and run causally with friends and strangers, and this is what keeps them going and be consistent. Remember of all exercises, the best exercise for you is not the one the science says, but the one that you can be consistent at permanently. Running happens to be the one for people in this thread.

Easy run

25 x 400m on track

53.26

Pace: 5.21/km

Just realised there's another running club called Fast and Free Running Club.

Saturday morning > Long run
Thursday evening > Threshold intervals

Long run seems to be their focus. Have pace groups, meanwhile ASICS long run is more OTOT.

ASICS hard run workouts a lot tougher than Fast and Free though.

ASICS pace group:

4.00 - 4.30/km
>= 4.30/km

Workout: 2 x 2km (no rest, this was last week workout) and 2 x 3km (1 min rest, this week workout)

Fast and Free pace group for HM training specifically:

2.00 hr (5.55 - 6.00)
1.50 hr (5.30 - 5.35)
1.45 hr (5.10 - 5.15)
1.40 hr (4.55 - 5.00)
1.28 hr (4.20 - 4.25)

2 x 10 min tempo, 3 min walk rest
