Derek Li is our own Singapore Elite runner. His view on the Rebel 4. The less rocker feel, more flexibility may be suitable for me, since I kenne toe injury with the stiff plated Saucony Endorphin/speed 2. But I will wait til this become past season first before I start looking.

But i suspect might be quite costly. Past season not easy to find sizes but not sure about big sizes for ya.

unfortunately NB shoes are always a bit of a premium here in SG. Even tho they are no Nike or Adidas.
Not sure why.

Freak. Why they make it like Novablast? :(

Rebel 1-3 was always about freedom. Kind of like Saucony Freedom 1-2, which got destroyed after that as a lifestyle shoe...
The EVA + PEBA foam sounds nothing special liao. (Depends on the % mix also)

So LLST it's SC Elite 4 or Pacer. I think the SC Train 3 also same foam as this Rebel 4.
SC4 will be bloody expensive also.

If that is the case i think will just look see, still on the fence......maybe just splurge on AF3 since i dont have any Nike shoes as of now, just for fun and laughter. 1 big purchase this year and call it a day.
See if hands itchy, PB 4.0 for more mainstream uses. Can liao, gao dim for this year

Tomorow last day for Loyalty or Early bird. I am not joining this, even the early bird is too high for me. But for Race singlet and Tee are among the better quality and nicer design compare to other races.

Today is last day for early bird or loyalty.

Guys, need your advise.
1. While brisk walking , need to wear those thin soak or preferably thicker one?

2. Need to buy a sole, can recommend? I hv one but when I put the sole in, I feel like my feet very high when put in the shoe.

1. Personal preference is thin socks in Singapore hot and humid climate. For breathability and less water holding capacity. Thick socks may be more plushy and padded, the feet can get unbearable in the heat for long duration over an hour in 28C and above.

2. No comment, no experience with 3rd party insole on shoes. Always been using the default insole with the shoes. I guess you just have to bring you insole to test new shoes when buying.

Actually for racewalking, it's supposed to be thinner ones, 30mm or even below 25mm is good as what they recommend. Forgot the details of the reason tho.
No real need for super rocker feel, just a bit is fine. Brisk walking at lower speeds shd be very very similar.

eg I find my current range, NB Rebel V3 i feel is the most efficient, nimblest and fastest.....rather than the max stack shoes. It is also a very light shoe.
But no harm using other stuff, like Deviate Nitro 2, no real diff even if walking at faster speeds. Coz we are all not pros anyway and competing in time trials etc.

But it can be soft, bottoming out not as big as issue vs running coz the impact forces are significantly lower. 30mm very soft Fuelcell (supercritical TPU) is fine.

So in a way, if you want a recommendation, Rebel V3 i feel is quite versatile. Cheap and can be used for both disciplines. (since you are currenty not running, but it can be extended to do running in future)

I think forget about putting a sole in, coz yes it can feel quite a fair bit taller, and also squeezes the upper of the shoe against the top part of yr feet. ie feels squeezy, esp if the shoe's upper is not roomy type.
Loosening the laces helps a bit only.

The face, really it all out type of expression..

Seldom see this from the africans. Not an expert, but i am wondering if a lot of those were not flat out......or maybe no need to flat out coz got future races (for preservation, lowering injury risk etc)

Key international here usually don't do very good discount. Hence very few users of Brook hyperion among the bargain hunters. Only those who are use to buy at retail pricing will get them.

Even runnerinn no sell. o_O

Use singpost will be $10 admin fee for GST brokerage. DHL is $20. On top of 9%

I think is a cultural thing. Japan always mental push very hard. Can see their attitude towards working, have to be perfect. It's probably why they are doing very well in distance running outside of Africa. They are even better than the AMDK USA in terms of number of runners running low 2:08 for FM. Whatever they lack in running gene compare to Africa or AMDK they make up from mental endurance. That's my opinon..
