What is your resting HR like? As a runner if below 80bpm than nothing to worry about.I'm wondering if there are any of u in the 40s with a max HR of ard ~198/min? Recorded this with my Polar H10 while doing interval 8 x 1km toward the end of my run.
This seems excessive for my age and Is this normal?
Have been running for quite a few yrs liao and just completed by SCB 1/2 marathon ard 2.20min.
You use Anybike / SGbike is it?Faster than I cycle
Your splits are quite similar to my running style. Start out slow, cruise and speed up in the end![]()

If running, 1.6k to 5k pros can run faster than avg joes on cheap $170 7-speed lowly geared (14-28T, 48T, 20") foldies maybe i will believe. Those are like 24kmh and above.
The last time I run 10k at 6:36/k was 4 years ago. All my current runs are mostly 8+/k or even 9+/k one very rarely 7/k. It's amazing my muscle memory still remember 4 years back.Your splits are quite similar to my running style. Start out slow, cruise and speed up in the end

Muscle memory/strength usually stay for a long while. I tested this out after getting covid and not running for 1 month +, my interval timings (400m repeats) didn't change so much but mileage declined significantly. Came to realise muscle provide the power and aerobic capacity provide the endurance. Of course, you need both to run fast overall. The last time I run 10k at 6:36/k was 4 years ago.
