the BMAI必迈 I have, 惊碳 Mix Plus is positioned as 全民碳板跑步鞋 (carbon plated running shoes for the masses), which is meant to be user-friendly, not for racers, targeting those without much training. In general, the propulsion from the carbon plated is relatively mild and a smooth role over without having a rocker at the forefoot. It is easy to run with, although I am not sure why my calf muscles felt strained during my first 2 runs on this pair of shoes. It should be used as a daily trainer.

In my opinion, the shoe in their lineup closer to pb3.0 should be the 惊碳fly (review below) which is more versatile than pb3.0 but could run/feel as fast as pb3.0
https://www.douyin.com/search/必迈惊碳fly对比飞影pb4.0?type=general

乔丹飞影pb3.0 is for those with running experience and training, or for competition (5/10/HM/FM). It is a fast and relatively stable running shoe, by making one run at faster pacing with relatively ease. Fore foot strikers or mid foot strikers will enjoy this pair very well. Rear foot strikers are ok as well but the strength of its midsole lies on the fore foot area. The foam reacts well below 6min pace, slower paces like 7-8 min pace will feel less shiok. Personally, it's a pair that makes me want to go fast, hence it is very suitable for racing. The midsole foam is also very nice to walk around with. Surprising the outsole rubber on the heel part is the most lasting amongst my running shoes (Adidas, Brooks, Puma, Qiaodan, Saucony, BMAI).
I ran the 2xu on pb 3 I think it is quite good tbh

keeping HR within 140 is so tough, let alone below 130.
I am also not sure if the HR reading on my coros is accurate as it differs quite significantly with apple, few instances, coros was in 150s while apple was in 130s
thinking if i should get the coros arm HR strap or another brand's HR reader

How about getting a Huawei to test if you really gotta do a watch? Really Cheap cheap. Served me quite good with regards to HR and GPS, i mean it's fuss free and i think other than the usual spots over at Shenton Way/Robinson/Cecil skyscrapers (expected), no issue with regards to the map and accuracy of the tracking (no route cutting the corners)....i had been training with it all sorts or areas fast slow relac/recreation run walk cycle....only missing is swimming/skydiving. :ROFLMAO:

A lot of cyclists do chest but that one i cannot accept. Damn lehceh too.
Somemore for cycling your hands actually are static, vs running, lagi less chances to go wrong.

@sph777

Kofuzi went UK to run the London Marathon, hoping to PB. Was on track to hit 3 hr. But hit the wall around 25km.

HM split @ 1.29 (4.15/k)
25 - 30k split @ 4.48/k
30 - 35k split @ 5.42/k
35 - 40k split @ 6.17/k

After hit the wall, he just take it easy and chill with the crowd. Started walking around 35 - 40k split and found another runner struggling hard and gave him a pat on the back to encourage him. Nearing towards the end, can see that he is struggling a lot but still waving/clapping hands with the crowd. Ended the run with 3.23 hr.

My next and only other race this year will prob be stan chart but see how my leg recovers first

I guess to compare 2 watches HR sensor, can wear one on each arm, or 2 on 1 arm also can, try both. So you can try your apple and coros.

What series of Apple you have there? If the later series, like 6, 7, 8, 9 then their optical HR sensor is the up there among the best.

Oic....thks bro..
Shorter distance no problem.
Even walking min 28km no issue.
Only jogging if more than 8km, toe like that.
Maybe need to wear thick sock?
Guess could be feet movement. Some shoes just give you that even after you do all the necessary checks, like one finger or thumb width from the longest toe to the tip of the shoes., wide spread toe box, runner's knot.
My Qiaodan Strong wind is like that. Giving my right big toe pain every time running in it. Think I can't solve this.

If it is rubbing, can give runner knot a try to minimize feet movement inside the shoes . Rubbing issue also can try Vaseline on the affected area prior to the run. And hope one day a chunk of callus grow there.

Think it's hard to compare without analytical tools that that DC rainmaker and Quantified Scientist have, where they are able to take the raw data and align both watches in the same time frame.

Ya if don't feel too tight, try thicker socks to rule out rubbing against upper. Or try another pair of shoes for over 8k.

Sometimes when tired, the foot and toes will go into funny positions to compensate, putting stress on them.

Previously when I ran longer distance, my toes became bent like claws gripping the ground. Quite scary. :s13:

Guess only can do in our own amateur way that i mentioned, more than good enough for xllms' use.
Unless if one is going serious into professional racing or what and after the last bit of accuracy.
I mean it's like my own time trial thingy.......i mean end of the day, it ain't gonna be significantly much slower/faster with multiple runs / datasets, the improvements over a the whole lot would be unmistakable unless everything is screwed.
Good enough data for me since it's not gonna be totally off (I have verified before the GT Runner over a relatively accurate measured distance before also). Just avoid them buildings at 1 marina blvd and shenton way area can liao.

One thing, I actually have done this way with my wife's Huawei GT Runner too (2 watches on same hand next to each other), they are extremely extremely close in HR / pace readings. There is some variation with another Huawei band 7 (mum), and then more variantion with the Redmi my father is using.

Back to the question, what is the purpose of getting into external HR? The one case that I feel that really an external HR is when you need instant HR reading. Wrist base are bad for it as it's response time is slower. The training that require instant HR reading is when you are doing HR based training like the MAF method. I got my chest strap because I dedicate one year to do purely MAF method. Where it is very strict that I do not exceed the ceiling HR at any time, therefore instant HR reading is requires. SO if you are doing zone 2 training also, strict adherence to the zone during workout requires instant HR, then the chest strap and arm band is needed.

But if just average HR for post analysis, like lap 10 where you enter some farlek you just like to know the average HR, or lap 2 to 4 you did a threshold and you just want to compare average HR to a previous similar workout, usually wrist base HR is good enough, coz after averaging out, the reading can be quite close to chest HR.

See if can get those Huawei GT 3 series or Runner under $200.... Only @WussRedXLi got the GT runner at a extremely good deal. For the quality of HR sensor and GPS sensor, under $200 this is unmatched for value for money.

Just have to wait for a later episode for an answer. Coz this is within his performance judging from Tokyo marathon last year.
Bad runs like this usually make/break ppl. If they can overcome the mental hurdle, they will definitely improve. If not, burn out. But from what I see, he looks at running positively. Still celebrating the run with the crowd despite a bad run. He'll definitely come back stronger.
This year a bit slower than usual for the 18K run.

Last year the fastest men they took like around 1hr to finish, iirc 3.18 min/km pace for the fastest fella.

That's insanely fast compared to the national triathletes. Most of them, average 3.50 min/km for the HM w/o any swim/cycle component. In fact, I recently came across a video of a national triathlete that ran the 2XU in 1.19-1.20.

3.18 min/km is like national runner level minus the swim/cycle.

I know a couple of 2.05 - 2.10 HM runners run their long runs at that pace, it's an easy run for them.

Anywhere until 153 HR according to my garmin. I tried it out and seems quite accurate so far in terms of avg. HR.

SCMS will be some time away, should be sufficient time for recovery and to get back on form.

i had one of my best runs on takumi sen 9 but had to return to seller and refunded due to outsole issue after one run. pb3. 0 was the replacement and it made me forget about ts9

tried a fast sprint at around 3min/km pace today but can only last 100-200m...super shagged. Need to do more to get used to it.

I don't seem to be able to run with mid or fore foot strike technique for low HR eg. 140 and below on coros. Switch to rear foot strike will be easier, but as the run prolongs, right knee will have discomfort.
