Running Lab organizing their first run. Wonder what will be the distance and price?

Last year I ran the 10km. A lot of fast runners running the 10km including Subas. Just FYI if people sign up should do 5km, last year the 5km top 3 not even below 20 min and 2nd and 3rd were 21 min haha. Do 5km and get vouchers. I hit pb of 43:00 flat for the 10km (ECP good route) and only got 31st haha

Just reminder again, transit over gradually. Low mileage first, and slowly increase to almost every walking or runnings are minimalist. My mistake was I transit over with the exact mileage I was doing with cushioned shoes. kenna Achilles tendonitis.
yeah alot of users transit too quickly and ended up with an injury. that is what i'm most afraid of actually.
no problem become got problem.

in the video below, the Xero CEO recommends trying 20 seconds for the first time and then wait the next day to see how the feet feels. if it's okay then slowly add on the duration until you're fully comfortable in minimalist shoes. TLDR, don't be too hasty to transit, do it slowly.

damn. abt time but must wait for quite some time for massive discount
Seems like not too much difference from DN2.

Since i already have 4 pairs of DN2 (1 pair stolen tho), think i will not get. Esp when i paid 3 pairs for between S$96 and $103, and good colourways that i like. In fact i am now wearing 1 of these pairs now at work :ROFLMAO: , need to wear running shoes coz i do 4 x 1.1km "intervals" daily for morning lunch and evening bt office and home.

Just aim for PB, even if can’t win, at least you done your best.

Speaking of this, RSR has 70 male finishers that ran sub 20 min 5k across their three 5k races

Probably a lot more if you include park runners

Yeah I was happy with the PB. Was just a passing remark saying if I had known could top 3 the 5km I would have run it haha. But anyway ECP is a bit far for me so won't take part there again I think.

Bro, I just wanna keep myself healthy.
Though walking sound n looks easy.
But if walk more xx hours, it become a endurance walk.
Ever saw 2 ladies walk for about 10km plus, leg cramp...

Now I remembered it was you who said the same about joining the 5km above last year. Not the one who ran it. Recalled wrongly.

Now, you can start gunning for 19.30 5km. Even if you don't hit 19.30, the likelihood of running sub-20 is a lot higher after going through 19.30 5km training.

Actually correction.......

I have 4 pairs of DN2 for myself. 1 stolen.
Then i also purchased 3 pairs of DN2 for my wife, my father and my mother.
So total 7 pairs DN2

2 pairs of Puma Electrify for my MIL and myself (1 retired, outsole gone liao due to high mileage)

2 pairs of Puma Deviate Nitro Elite, 1 myself and 1 for my kid.

1 pair Puma Velocity for my wife (She does not like this one)

For elderly, it's mainly for the Pumagrip, for wet surfaces grip.....
