Use to have it all the time. Very common to have black toes here and there. When my running improve no more already.

What 😱

Actually infact I was indoubt suddenly 1 day, my 6 toes become black.

I suspect it's due to I injured myself but just doesn't make sense 6 toes kana at the same time.

You mean to say if I run almost everyday, it will happened ?

Just another normal day run. Not seeing much improvement on zone 2 since Feb. However zone 3, 4 and 5 HR keeps coming down as if zone 2 is waiting for them. Funny.

Zone 2 at 10Km is 👍🏻

I cannot get Zone 2, always end up in Zone 3 n 4

Almost every runner will go thru it. It's a rite of passage.

It means feet not ready for the shoe and distance yet. Not wise to run everyday on that shoe. That's why shoe rotation is important. When wearing difference shoe different muscle groups are used to stop hurting the same spot and avoid injury.

Runners can try to mix in some weighted partial lunges other than the Full ROM.

Partial single weighted/resistance banded bent/straighthened calf raises

Quads for me i think cycling @ low cadence sufficiient....coz cycling is very important to me so i dont wanna mess that up.

And remember your whey/sardines/mackarel/chicken/pork + some plyo

Yes, that's the reason. Many non runners don't understand why we have many pairs of shoes. It's never enough. 😂

I got rotate among my 3 pairs of running shoes.

But I am surprised suddenly 6 black toes which never happened to me before when I started running almost everyday.

It's all basically toe trauma, i.e the toe and nails are hitting against the wall repeatedly .
Leaving a gap between the wall and toe, for me I use the width of the index finger, most people will say the thumb width But I don't like too big, it runs very different.
Another cause, too much movement between your feet and the shoe. That's why lacing properly to help. It locks your heel to the heel counter. The other thing that causes too much movement especially on super shoes is the weak structure of the upper. They make it so breathable and light, it collapse easily.

I saw on lazada, they have those silicone heel sleeves that can act as a cushion between your toe and the shoe wall . I don't know if it will help or make it worst.

Got hoka sales at Marina Square atrium
Just went down, nothing much interesting. Metaspeed sky+ or EDge+ (can't remember which or both) $349 before 40% off.
NB SC elite v3,, only afew size, $329 before 40% off
After discount still almost $200.

Hoka, many stock and model. Can't remember any of them coz not interesting. I can say there's no MAch 6 or Rocket X2.

Can consider Saucony endorphin speed 3, @269 before 50%. But I think this price, I prefer the QiaoDan FY PB4, but lose the prestige of the western brand.

Tips to improve zone 2: Do less training in the orange zone 4. Spend around 10% is ok. Training is mostly done in blue zone 2 mix with some green zone 3 (still ok) and make up 70 - 80% of your training. Just train at 110 - 130 bpm which WussRedXLi suggested which is suitable for our age group. Nevermind the pace. Also noticed your run already done 7788. Can consider levelling up your mitochondrial now since I believe you have accumulated enough zone 2. It's a power button that look like this:

Next day HR plunge. Don't know why it always work. I saw someone posted something similar when he ran 6km hard then follow by 5km easy and he improved. Forgot who. Anyway can worth a try ✌🏼

I think if I really wanted to maintain at Zone 2, I would need to reduce my pace some more liao

Cham. Today run/walk 4.44km with avg pace 6min30s.

Is it better to slow jog all way through or do semi run walk but not until HIIT level?

I just realize you all talk zone, my Xiaomi fit app is just light intensive aerobic anaerobic. This is same thing right?
