Hello all,

what is the appropriate Heart Screening ? this will be my first time
and how regular shall I should do it, age >40, <45

ECG?
Treadmill ECG?
Echocardiograms?

If over 20-25 and you are doing higher level performance sports, can go for the $400 range type. treadmill
Need to stress it.
if just for hobby / fun and rarely go over zone 2, no need to do until like say 50. Even for general population over 50 already and just doing the bare minimum say 20 mins 3 times weekly of slow 11 min/km pace walking, best to do it for peace of mind. Unless you are really really sure that you are super healthy type and blood work all swee swee one and genetics are low risk no family history.

my heart rate is always high :( even now after regular run, last 3 months I ran 25km weekly in 2 sessions (10, 15km), pace 7.45 for 10 KM, my avg HR is 158

friends told me to go heart screening, but I am not sure which one to go, is treadmill ECG enough ?

actually I had been exercising for quite some time (since covid) without any "issue" other than high HR, my most strenuous exercise when I did AUDAX300 and 240KM back to back weekend

Yeah, bro cometdevil is also rather high. Maybe within standard deviation for some people lah, higher range.

Treadmill ECG is enough if symptomless.

BTW Makarun (above vid) can do around 9:30 for 3k.

Think can give our 2.4k boys (non-elite) a run for their money.

edit - in fact, is podium in Tertiary men cat. :ROFLMAO:

Can also run FM, think recently she got 2:53 in one when running with another JP ultra runner.

Your chill half mara pace is still so fast. HR also good. Nice la
Maybe the cooling weather recently helped with it, though I almost wanted to stop midway to get a drink at Starbucks (yes there is literally one at the park haha).

Interesting, sleep also increases gut health (benefits the micrombes) and the converse is also true. It also decreases inflammation there and of coz aids a lot of things.

Any Foot therapist experts? Right foot pain (sng), right side of right foot arch. The pain is not constant only when you walk, run the pain will disappear (maybe foot become lose) but soon reappears after stopping. If don't run and minimize walking for a few days, the pain does go away. Only to come back when run again.
For feet health, is there some massage , stretching or strengthening etc you do before or after runs?

Try standing toe heel lift and drop before running.

Bro, eagerly looking for it...

You still walking? Nearly 1 month never see you liao since the Fraser's vertical

Stay consistent. If you are facing a lull / plateau, can try new stuff....which will give you new goals.

1 interesting racewalking vid for ya. Try to racewalk faster than others can run.

Actually racewalking also can serve as a form of cross training vs running. Can cut down (a little) injury / overuse risk. You can still improve your running timings also that way (I did).
If die die no cycling no swimming etc and you are a die hard nearly every day kinda guy (coz your recovery superhuman and you focus very much on that + 8hrs of sleep etc)
