I thought Nicole 19:05 min, first girl from laos 18:17 min.

But for 1.5k is Vanessa 4:41, Nicole 4:42.

Men 5k field is pretty stacked, 13-14 people break sub-16 min 5k.

Yeah nicole and vanessa in the 1500m i mean.

But nicole does not seem to be very endurance based....or maybe just comparatively narrow range.

For long time regular racers or folks living near there yes of coz. SG is really too small even for running, all the races are basically centerd here, with some at the prison and some at the west side gardens.

But for those newer runners (covid runners?) living farther away, then yeah it might most probably be refreshing . Maybe even covid cyclists living farther and only occasionally come down to town so will find it refreshing. (hence all the instagram pics on esplanade/helix bridge, MBS, BEG etc).

Like for me as I am at Tg Pagar, this MBS esplanade , Bay East Garden all the way to Mountbatten Rd route, i believe i have looped well over a thousand times. Same goes to Sentosa/Faber. Coz of cycling training on weekdays that is. 🤣 Weekends then roads proper in the early morning. Weekday roads i dont do road cycling training one, coz i am not those 3am 4am risers cycling folks. By 7am it is already way too late for road cycling already, buses also will be out and about and will need to fight for bus lanes etc. Same for night road cycling, post 11pm then is good. Not that cannot do, but the risk of accidents and unhappy altercations with vehicles as quite a few do not think roads are to be shared with cyclists at all. So the extreme timings is not conducive for salaried workers and recovery etc.
Yes. This was part of the reason why I signed up. I looked at the previous years' routes and didn't expect significant changes. Part of the city area is basically closed off for runners, feels very special.
For those running this weekend and want to do an honest 21.1km, this AMDK shows you in the video where you can split off from the main course, 550m out and 550m back loop for that extra 1.1km

Thank you. Don't want this effort to go to waste. It better show up as HM on my strava :s13:

Long Duathlon

The "biker pushing bike up the bridge" scene actually quite harrowing and surreal to see, coz you'd be constantly wondering if it would happen to you or not.

She is doing coaching now. I seen her at CCAB track recently, was just there to coach some guy and didn’t run. But good to see her breaking 1.5k PB.

Similar to last year, 5k is more popular than the 10k. I believe Shaun is using SG open to qualify for 5k SEA games. But looking at the two other guys passing him, don’t look too good actually

2XU made a last minute update, the route is truly 21.1km now, according to them:

The yellow box is the loop extension added to the endpoint.

Furthermore, do heed the pink-dot notations, as they have highlighted possible congestion points along the route.

They finally rectified it, but if you have a GPS watch still look at the time and run a wider loop so you will guarantee to run 21.1km

All points to a measured course. Can PB with this race.

I saw Puma Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 being sold in SG, anyone tried it yet and how is it vs Deviate Nitro Elite 3 (which I liked)?
