Hmm how about bounciness/energy return?

Don't mind firm if bouncy.

Wasted. Should have bought another Plaid 1 last time.
Energy return is good for PB3, but need to remind you the foam is firm. So it's not soft at all. Coz I get the impression you are looking for the softness of Plaid 1. If going by online comments on Plaid 2, I get the impression it might be closer to the PB3 in term for softness.

Havent searched, now no more Plaid 1.0 or 1.5? 1.5 shd still have mah.
Plaid 1.0 is very close to my SC Elite V2, but Plaid 1.0 has even more "depth travel" if you were to stomp hard on it wrt psi. ie heavier BMI guys

For me i not connoisseur in these "feel" stuff, even though i like to run fast, so stuff like SCE 2, Plaid 1.0 and plain jane Revel 3 for normal days ok.....as long as is soft coz i dig soft. Even Deviate nitro 2 is good (i use it for racewalking every now and then even, tgt with the Rebel 3, best.....)

Yesterday was 2nd run.

First run was 10k at 6mins.

Did not enjoy the shoes at this pace. Labourious and shagged out.

Felt pissed like "WTF I bought a piece of flat firm foam that does nothing for me". 😄

Haha yes probably will use Plaid2 only for intervals.

Now eyeing the Eleos you bought for easy runs.

Maybe also the newer Feiying PB3 upgraded version.

Any of you guys ran with PB3 or PB5? Is the midsole bouncy? Soft?
pb3 midsole imo, need to run at least 6min/km pace, it feels better as the pace picks up. i don't enjoy it when i ran at 7min/km pace.
pb3.0 was never soft, somewhere between soft and firm but responsive & bouncy.
pb3.0 upgraded version has the same midsole, main difference lies on the shoe material, if memory serves me well
if you are looking for a pair at slower pace easy runs, maybe can consider XTEP特步 一体成型三代 or XTEP特步 2000km三代 or 乔丹强风3.0TR

Taobao retailers still have Plaid 1.

But undecided. Afraid receive old stock and "mouth open".

Then always itchy want to try new stuffs.

I consider Plaid 1.5 as firm. So that's that.

Need to dig out Rebel 3 from cold storage. Also have another Jingtan 3 Turbo incoming.

Maybe should just stop acquiring for now haha.

Those china shoe the best is xtep 5 pro?
xtep 160x3pro probably...many China top pros are still using this despite out for more than 2yrs. There is a newer version of this is 160x3.5 with a different fabric for better ventilation. But this shoe is not for everyone. It may be too fast for most of us. One needs to have trained up to a certain level before being suitable. Latest version is 160x6.0pro

keen to hear your feedback on jingtan 3.0turbo.
i like how it feels so natural and response well even at ard 5-6.30 pace. I like it as much as the pb3.0 as my favorite china brand running shoes.

A lot say sub 3:30 pace, extreme rocker goemetry. Literally even fast amateur folks the distance need to be like mile run to max 3k. Or micro intervals to intervals for some.
Pro marathoners also can of coz since it is marketed as such.

Same thoughts.

Very natural. Good softness and bouncy. Also very light.

The naturalness is the key point. Maybe even more natural than Rebel 2/3.

Perfect for people who like to feel their every step planting on the ground. Yet still soft and cushioned.

No extra guidance or anything. Basically Freedom. (name of an old series from Saucony which I also like alot)

For me the Jingtan 3 Turbo handles everything well.

Fast short sprints/Hill sprints
100m/200m sprints
1k intervals
Tempo
Slow runs

Anything from 3.30(sprints) to 6.30 (slow runs).

I sized up to add an insole which I prefer over the stock option. (without insole)

Only complain is the funky colourway. 😄

I opted against the off-white because remind me of condensed milk colour haha.

Having tried the shoes, off-white will actually be a nice for casual wear.

The funkiness extends to the huge BMAI logo. Waiting for chiobu to come forward and say "I'll be yours".🤣
