Use LifeSG credit to buy the Puma Magmax for long runs and recovery.
Decided this against the SB2 as SB2 is not the best for slow recovery runs while Magmax can do recovery and pick up the pace when needed. Needed another chill shoes as sometimes I get bored with the firmer Adidas SL2.
Magmax will be the last shoe I will buy for a while until I wear out my current lineup..

Deviate Nitro Elite 2
Boston12
ZoomFly 6
Qiaodan PB4
Adidas SL2
Magmax 2

Enough to cover all the bases

Didn't know that Hayden Wilde recent crashed in a serious bike accident. Game over for him for the rest of this year.

Glad you managed to buy. Should work great for you guys who are faster!

Yesterday I did another slow run with Plaid 2.

7k @ 6.15 pace. Like my first run, did not enjoy at all. The midsole felt like one big flat slab of foam that is 70% firm/30% soft.

No rocker effect. No bounce. Pui chao nua labourious

Very unlike Plaid 1 which can do both slow and fast for me.

Dulan decided to run another 2 x 1km.

Lap 1 - 4:57 min
Still no bounce or rocking forward. But starting to have feel. Like encouraging me to go faster.

Lap 2 - 4:25min
Feeling lai liao. Somehow that flat slab of foam suddenly come to life. Want to go faster and faster. But my cardio busted at last 200m and lao hong. Haven't saw 174bpm for quite a long time. 😄
ah so is really race shoe. not for training

If that is the case, then Plaid 1.0 might really the more practical / overall rounded shoe for us (not saying Plaid 2.0 is useless of coz). Soft soft esp if you dig that feeling. (after all it's just a health hobby)

I have done some pretty fast runs on ver 1.0, just over 3.00 pace like 3.05 3.10. Still ok. I mean of coz not even 1.5k distances, but.....it felt ok, as in it is not one big lump of "thing" that impedes you, like say a Novablast or SC Trainer would. Of coz 5.00 - 6.00 all confirm ok one.

Maybe those serious high mileage folks might wanna stock up. Afterall, it probably would not be good past 1k mileage. (Reported 600km by others, but for me i not so ngeow).

Ran a HM non stop at stadium just now without drinking and gel. Intend to do a 25km but really struggling from 18km onward. Happy that still managed to do HM with this kind of humidity 🥵. I reward myself with a can of coke!

不是简单的热。
We were doing 41-42 deg heat index yest afternoon. Not the warmest (peaking 43-44) but still hot enough.
This morning i slow jog like 500m had to stop and fan liao, my shirt getting a bit soaked and could feel armpits sweat. Reached office and went toilet took off shirt wash armpits with soap/water liao, if not paiseh with the bawu.
Then spent 15 mins in server room in front of the Vertiv/Emerson chiller cool off and did some exercises and sipped iced coffee/milo mix. lol

Can basically just join in the run without scanning, so just use your own watch's time. Route distance of 5k same.

Or if you want can just do your 2.4 distance and use the front runners as pacers and motivation as a trial 2,4 run if you are a pretty fast 2.4 runner (eg you aiming around 9 or even sub 9).
This is actually a good practical use for those still NSmen aiming to get full points for 2.4......coz over here sure got fast runners.

Or if one is just a normal fella trying to train for 2.4 and get pass/inventive, can use the parkrun as a long run motivational session coz mid pack runners can run with you as a group run at a pretty manageable 2.4 normal people's pace.
I know for some it is tough to run alone.

Or if you are a seriously fast runner + able to do longer distances, just do 2 rounds for 10k and see if you can beat the front pack of walkers. 🤣

U sign up for an account on parkrun website, then print your own barcode for timing at the end. See the 4 venues for parkrun and choose which to go. Show up at the start point maybe about 7.15am for briefing. 7.30am sharp all will kick off. After run they will give you a finisher card or item based on position. Later they will scan the card and the barcode for your timing and upload it

Don't need to print. Save inside your phone or watch haha. You only need barcode if you want a recorded timing,if not can just run. Yeah have to be early, got few times I come at 0735,they flagged off already.
